Gem of the Day: No time for a gem. We have
a medical emergency in Arizona.
We were just notified
by Derek Phelps, our
AZ. and N.M. Team
leader, about little 5
month old Bichon
puppy, Baby Colby.
Colby has only until
4:00 P.M. Pacific
time,
to either be picked
up at an Arizona
shelter
or he will be euthanized.
He is showing respiratory signs of distemper,
but as of yet, has not shown any neurological
signs.
The estimate to diagnose
and treat him is
for $700-800.00.
We don't have extra funds for an unexpected
emergency like this. If we go and get him
we need funds to vet him. This is urgent.

If you missed our last newsletter, here it is
I am going to be
quick here.
We are already getting lots of "out
of office" replies, in anticipation
of people getting out of town for the upcoming
Holiday weekend.
Now, a Bichon puppy
is sick in an Arizona
shelter.
There is no one else
to go and get him.
They will put him
to sleep at 4 Pacific Time,
today, if we don't
go and get him.
We have raised only $200.00 of the needed
$1300.00 for both Miracle and Snowball, whom
I told you about this morning.
Now, we have baby
Colby, and his estimate
is for $700-800.00.
That means we now
need a new total
of $1900.00
to take care of just
these three Bichons.

Graphic Picture Warning.
Miracle is in AZ.

Three year old little Snowball in Ohio.

Five Month Old Baby
Colby in AZ.
We have these two matching donation challenges,
each for $100.00.
The Holiday weekend
is approaching and
we
have a sick baby
who will die if we
can't
treat him. HELP.
First from Sue Hodges,
in Southern California,
we have this challenge.
Thank you Sue!

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
