Welcome! We hope you enjoy reading about
the Bichons and the people who love them!
If you missed our last newsletter, here it
is.
First of all I wanted to let you know some
news we have about
Bayn Carlson's
four dogs.
A little two year old named 'Cole",
the star of YouTube's Cole's Climb , is the son of a little puppy mill girl
that we had, named Laverne. We had her sister,
too, and her name was Shirley.
Well, the Small Pawser who adopted Lavern
and Shirley lives right outside of Tulsa
and she has asked to foster Cole, Laverne's
baby boy.
The transport will take place this weekend.
Cole's Climb will continue with him going
home to his birth Mama and his Aunt Shirley.
You tell me if this is a God Thing for this
little boy. He lived against all adds, and
now is going to go to be with his Mama and
Aunt.
I am so proud to be associated with you all.
So very proud.
Then, as you know, we have a very generous
matching challenge for $5000.00 from Carol
Camp. (See below)
It is alright with
Carol if we break
this
down into 10 challenges
for $500.00 or into
100 challenges for
$50.00. So it all
counts!
It's been comforting, reading all of the
kind words you have written about Bayn Carlson.
I got this a while ago and wanted you to
know that three of you now, have met part
of the challenge with a $500.00 donation.
I remember this night when Janet Campbell
contacted me last summer. Thank you Janet
for that evening and for this one.

My Dear Sweet Robin,
Would this generous person be willing to
accept 10 - $500 donations. I'll start by
matching $500. If we can get 9 more, we'll
be there. It could be in memory of Bayn,
and Cole's Climb (go to YouTube everyone and view this, you won't be the same after).
AND, the last minute tax deduction is the
icing on the cake!
Robin, you don't really know me. I think
it was last summer. You were so busy you
weren't eating dinner with your husband Dale,
so I donated to SPR if you would promise
to eat dinner with him.
I'm a genuine Small Pawser now. Blessed by
your emails, said when one of the fluffs
is injured, rejoicing when one is given new
hope, and oh so often brought closer to Jesus
because of the way you share Him in your
letters.
I cried last night because of the loss of
your friend Bayn. I played Cole's Climb over
and over last night. I remember when Bayn
first posted it on YouTube. I shared it with
everyone I knew, and we cried happy tears.
Last nights tears were sad tears.
I am so very sorry
for this loss.
Lastly, I can't match the $5,000 challenge,
but I'll match a 10th of it. Maybe 9 others
can match the $500 and we'll get to $5,000.
And in your words, All My Love,
Janet >
Bayn Carlson didn't have a lot of money,
but he donated $20.00 every month. He believed
in what we do, what we all do.
Some of us are able to give time, some of
us are able to give money, and some of us
are able to join in prayer that people will
time or money will find their way to us in
order to help these Bichons.
Then, if after they make their ways to us,
if we can tell them about God's great love
for each one of them, what could be better?
ALL of it is important. What each of us does
is important. Please never ever think that
you aren't a VERY important part of this
organization, of this family.
Remember, we began this magnificent obsession
back in 1998 with 10 people giving ten dollars,
not with one person giving one hundred.
I miss my friend. I spoke to him each and
every Christmas Day. I know that many of
you had a close connection with Bayn, too.
Many of you are in shock and experiencing
grief. I'm asking God to comfort you all,
and to comfort Bayn's family.
I don't take this lightly when I say this.
I know one thing. This I know.
Bayn loved Small Paws. We were his family.
He loved the dogs and was so happy when each
of his foster dogs found a home.
Or, when he took another pregnant mama into
"Bayn's House for for Wayward Bichon
Girls", and the litter he had whelped
and raised was fortunate to find a wonderful
home.
I remember hearing
him call from veterinary
emergency rooms with
this one or that one.
One of his pregnant
Mom's was having
trouble
and we lost one of
the babies and Bayn
cried
like one himself,
on the phone to me.
This is the story of one of his foster Mama's
and their babies. He named them for the color
of ribbon he put around their little necks
when they were born so we could tell them
apart. Blue, green, brown, yellow..
Homeward Bound http://www.smallpawsrescue.org/newsletters/images/HomewardBound.ppt
He wanted to help.
I think he would
have liked knowing
we are
still trying to help.
I know he would.
All
My Love, Robin

Dear Robin:
As you know, I found
Small Paws when watching
a segment on Animal
Planet and immediately
went to my computer.
I had an elderly
Bichon
and knew I wanted
to continue owning
the
breed and knew that
Chloe was not long
for
this world. At that
time, too, I had
been
looking for a place
to offer my tithe
where
I felt deep in my
heart that it was
truly
a "God thing".
That was eight years
ago when I found
Small Paws and dedicated
my tithe to the organization.
It truly is
where I know that
I have planted a
seed that
continues to grow
and thrive.
I have been so blessed
since then and as
I continued to give,
I continued to receive.
So now, at the end
of the year, I would
like
to issue a challenge
to those out there
who
may wish to donate
a year-end amount
which
will give them a
tax deduction rather
than
just paying that
money to the government.
I, for one, am much
happier giving a
donation
to Small Paws which
knows how to put
my money
to the best of uses.
:)
I would like to issue
a challenge in the
amount of $5,000
to anyone out there
who
knows the benefit
that money can do
in saving
these little dogs
we all adore and
who may
be looking for the
perfect charitable
donation
to make.
God bless and best
wishes for a Merry
Christmas
and a Happy New Year!

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
