Dear Small Pawsers,
Welcome to our newest members of our Small Paws® Rescue Online Newsletter, especially to those of
you who may have
seen us on October
24, 2011
on Fox and Friends in New York City, or on Animal Planet on "Dogs 101.", or you may have recently read about us
in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Find Your Happiness,
101 Stories about
Finding Your Purpose,
Passion
and Joy , or you may have seen us on "Inside Edition" with Deborah Norville.
If you missed our last newsletter, click here to read it.
I need to let you know that one of the two
Bichons in South Texas, that I thought we
picked up from the La Porte Shelter, was
claimed by it's owner right before we got
there.
We only got one, not two, Bichons from that
shelter.
The shelter told
us that we got a
male, but
when we got the dog
to the vet, they
told
us that he was a
she, so we do have
a little
female!
We also have these matching donation challenges
for these latest August emergencies!

"Ashton Eaton" has been hit by
a car. He is only two years old. He needs FHO surgery.

"Nathan Aidrian" is one year old.

"Ryan Lochte" is 1-2 years old.
Charlie has sharp bladder stones near his urethra. OUCH.

Charlie
Charlie was confirmed with multiple sharp
bladder stones, and
the x-rays showed that
they are lower and
close to the urethra.
Estimate for removal
is $1000.00
We have this generous challenge from Sherry
Keller for $500.00! Thank you Sherry! Is
there anyone who can maybe match Sherry?

Rob,
I will issue a $25 per dog matching donation
and because I have three dogs, that is $75.
I will also give another $25 in honor of
my Mom who is sick and who needs prayers
to get well. I just landed here in Syracuse
and am on my way up to take care of her for
a week. Prayers needed for Pat Stanton. Thx,

Hi, Robin, Will you
give the Small Paws Rescue Online E-Store a big announcement next letter, just asking
people to look to
see what is there. I have
lots of requests
to get things in for them,
then there are no
sales. So the new items inventory is great, beautiful and we need customers.

we
lost our beautiful
Small Paws
Foster girl, Miss Suga today. She lost her
battle with Valley Fever and
Renal Failure. For those of you who got to
meet her and remember her
story, you know how special she was. I want
to really thank Small Paws
Rescue for giving
us the opportunity
to have
Suga in our lives

two and a half years. She was rescued from
a local Shelter where she was on
the Euthanasia list for having a large hernia.
I also want to thank all of our Small

everything that you do too.
Because without you, we couldn't do the work
that we do.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
