Dear Small Pawsers,

This is an emergency. Bonnie Ferguson, (bonnie@smallpawsrescue.org) our Director of Adoptions, is presently trapped in her vehicle, in the wildfires in Bristow, Oklahoma.

The winds changed and it has come to their house.

She texted me that the fire is there and she is terrified.

I called and got through. Cell service is sparse. There is no electricity.

She was in her vehicle which is packed with her four dogs and her elderly mother, a cancer patient.

There was no where for them to go.

She is trapped in their back pasture. The quarter mile drive out to the road is on fire.

She just texted me that the shed is on fire and the fire is less than 100 feet from the house.

I called the sheriff and gave them her address. They are trying to get to her.

Good Lord God it is 113 degrees here.

We can't get out there, The roads are closed.

All I can do is to unleash the Power that I know that I know that I know is stronger than any fire.

Please pray for the fire to die. For Bonnie and her family to be able to get out.

She just texted me that Rick her husband, is missing. He was out with the hose trying to stop the fire.

Dear Lord God. Please help her. Find Rick. Bonnie is crying and told me she loved me and told me goodbye. I believe that she believes she may die.

For those who don't know me, I would never exaggerate something like this.

This is as serious as it gets.

Please pray for them.

Father God. we come to you asking you to protect Bonnie and her family. We ask you for RAIN to stop these fires. Be with the many people who have lost their homes. Be with the firefighters. In the Precious Name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
