"Milo" before

"Milo" after

I just had to show everyone, so you could all see Milo's before pic and after pic. He was scared to death and mats all the way to his skin upon rescue. He is now a beautiful 2 year old boy. He just went to his foster home, where he can learn how to trust and be loved. This is why we do what we do!

Thank you so much!
Sara

Sara Pace, our Team Leader for Ill. and IN. was again called to a high kill shelter where Small Paws saved five Bichons from being euthanized.

These five Bichons will cost us around $3500.00 to vet, at about $700.00 each.

See Vet Bills Paid By Small Paws Rescue in June of 2012
For The First Four Days of June Totalling $10, 245.20
Averaging $2561.30 Per Day.

Here are there pictures, and we need help to be able to vet them.

The only other option was to leave them there and I know that you all don't want us to do that, so we have them now.

"Chicago Capoochino"
"Chicago Capoochino" is estimated at 4-5 yrs old. He is already neutered, but will need a dental, quarantine and vaccinations. He was HW negative and is 12 lbs.

"Chicago Cailie"
Here is our only female, "Chicago Cailie". She is adorable, sweet and estimated at 1-2 yrs old. She was filthy! She needs spay, dental, vaccinations and quarantine. She is 10 lbs. She is also HW negative.

"Chicago Cadbury"
This is "Chicago Cadbury" He has a bichon face, body, cow spots and tail but a little grey on his ears. He is estimated at 1 year old. He needs neuter, quarantine and vaccinations. He is 14 lbs and is very sweet and adorable!.
He was HW negative.

"Chicago Carmine"
This is "Chicago Carmine". He is estimated at 1 year old. Does not need a dental. Pure white teeth! He does need neuter, quarantine and vaccinations. He was HW negative. Very sweet boy. He is 11.7 lbs.

All fluffs did great with each other in the exam room.

"Chicago Callahan" (ADOPTED!)
This is "Chicago Callahan" and he has been adopted by one of our Florida Team Leaders, Susan Garrison! His new name will be "Hudson". He was a owner surrender. He is 8 lbs. He is a sweet, long legged fluffy boy. I am so excited he will be a Garrison. He is parvo and HW negative. He needs neuter and has a very small reducible umbilical hernia that they will fix when he is neutered.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
