We have a medical emergency happening right
now in Ft. Worth Texas.
A Bichon was found as a stray in Fort Worth
and he has been attacked by another dog,
He is in critical condition.

This little guy comes to us from the same
shelter that little "Magnum" came
from. He too had been found after he had
been attacked by another dog. I named him
"Magnum", so that no one would
ever mess with him again. And it worked.
No one has ever messed with him again.
That's why we have named this little guy,
"Remington". ('Nuff said.)
Remington is about 4-5 years old.
One of our volunteers, Molly Smith, (richardmolly@verizon.net..actually.
Molly rescued, fostered and then adopted
"Magnum") just now is picking Remington
up and is taking him to the Colleyville Animal Hospital.
We are going to try to save him, but please
pray. The pictures from the shelter don't
look good.
We raised $550.00 yesterday, which unfortunately,
lasts for less than half of a day.
We need to have funds to be able to help
little ones like Remington.

Hi, I rescued Lucy
from Small Paws four
years
ago. This morning
she was attacked
by my
roommate's two dogs
(lab mix and pit
mix),
dogs she'd been around
every day for months.
She has some bad
wounds, but should
be okay
after emergency surgery
today.
I'm looking for help because I'm afraid to
bring her home. My roommate is out of the
country for another week, and I haven't been
able to get a hold of his dad, who may be
able to take one or both of the bigger dogs
home until their owner gets back. If I can't
get the dogs out of the house, I would like
to find someone who can take care of Lucy
for a few days. She'll probably need antibiotics
and pain reliever administered. Worst case
scenario I can have her boarded at the vet's
office. I have already asked them to keep
her there tonight.
Is there anybody
in the Syracuse,
NY, area
who could take care
of her for a few
days?
I know it's unusual,
but I'm in a bit
of
a bind.
At the very least,
please pray for her
recovery,
especially that she
won't lose her sweet,
loving personality
and won't have fear
or
aggression issues
around other dogs
after
this.
Thanks! Angie Poole>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
