Gem of the Day: "If you have men who
will exclude any of God's creatures
from the shelter of compassion and pity,
you will have men who will deal
likewise with their
fellow men."
~Francis of Assisi
~
Nellie and Hubble are both nine years old.
They are coming in from an owner who has
lost her home in Harper's Ferry West Virginia.
It's about an hour and twenty minutes outside
of Washington DC. and about the same from
Baltimore MD. We desperately need a foster
home for them either within driving distance
or we may be able to fly then to you for
foster care. Foster help needed!

challenge
Hey Louie:
It's not much, but in honor of the Jewish
New Year, and honoring Life, I am issuing
a matching challenge to as many SPR folks
as possible for $18.00
The number 18 is a mystical number to Jews
and stands for Life.
Thank you,
Bonnie Margolis with Gabriel and Molly
Stamford, CT.<

Maximillan is around 18 Months old.

Tina, is the other half of this darling bonded
pair. She is heartworm positive and needs
treatment.

Maximillan got very sick from ingesting the
items below.

This is what was retrieved from Max's tummy
in an emergency surgery.
It is costing us an average of $1285.07 per
day just for our vet bills across the country.

Vet Bills Paid by Small Paws Rescue For The
First 18 Days of September, 2012,
Totalling $23,131.17, An Average of $1,285.07

divorce and the owner has lost her home.

in years. One has bladder stones and both
have severe dental disease.
Nellie and Hubble are both nine years old.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
