"Remie" in Molly Smith's car, on
the way from the ER back to our vet's office!
She looks like a different doggie! Thank
you all for helping her!
As you know, Sara Pace pulled four Bichons
from a shelter near
Chicago, this morning.
We've raised $1275.00 of the needed $2400.00
for them.
One of the little
females, whom we
have named
"Tara"
delivered three pink
puppies
pre-maturely, last
Wednesday. All three
did
not survive.
Well, when we got
her today, Sara thought
that she looked a
bit plump. (Tara, not Sara.)
So we did x-rays
and there were four
more
babies in there.
An ultrasound was
done to determine if the
babies are still
alive and they are!
The vet thinks she
will deliver them in a
couple of weeks!
So, Miss Scarlett! Miss Scarlett! We gots
babies comin'! (Baby WHATS we don't know,
but the first three were pink and Bichons
are pink when they are born, Maybe these
will be baby Bichons!)
Here are our newest four Bichons. Great job,
Sara!

From Sara: Here is Gemma Small Paws. Gemma
is an owner surrender because they were moving.
We are not sure if Gemma is spayed. They
did not find a spay scar. Gemma will need
vaccinations. No dental. Her teeth look great.
She was very scared but sweet. She was such
a good girl riding in my seat on the way
to the animal hospital.
Thanks!
Sara

From Sara: Hi Robin,
Here are the pics
and updates of the
4 fluffs
that came into rescue
today. This is Clay.
He is 4 years old
and an owner surrender.
Clay is already neutered.
He needs vaccinations
and a dental. He
is very sweet! He
is being
groomed today.
Sara

From Sara: This is Opie Small Paws. Opie
was a stray that went unclaimed. He is estimated
at 2-3 yrs old. He is very very dirty and
matted! He is also being groomed today. Opie
will need neuter, dental and vaccinations.
All fluffs will be
quarantined for 10
days,
Will keep you posted!
Sara
This is Tara Small Paws. This is what the
shelter told me. She delivered 3 pre-mature
pink babies on Wednesday. They didn't survive.
She came into rescue with Small Paws today.
During her exam she still had a fullness
to her belly. Our vet did x-rays and guess
what! She still had 4 puppies.
They did an ultrasound and saw 4 heartbeats!
We are going to have babies in approximately
2 weeks. Tara was a stray, so we are not
sure who the daddy was:) Tara is estimated
at 2-3 yrs old. She was filthy and looked
like she had dread locks! She is very sweet
and was a great girl during her ultrasound.
Tom and Kathy Macpherson
will foster Tara
and the babies!
That's the news from today. Thanks everyone.
All My Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
