I see a photo of
Gucci and want to keep him.
I read about Emma
and wish I could keep her
too. And then there
is the one who needs
insulin shots..no
problem --I wish we could
take her. I wish
we lived in a place where
no amount of bichons
would be too many to
have--but we don't.
I read about the challenge
of $10 for each bichons
owned.. Okay--we
have three (2 SPR's
and one remaining from
our original 4) So
count me in for $30. But
I can do one better.
I'll issue a challenge
to match $100 for
the 10 more I wish we could
take. There are so
many that deserve to feel
safe and loved. My
heart simply breaks. Phyllis

We are still in need
of many foster homes
for Bichons in Texas.
Males are the most
snuggly little ones.
They
need homes too.
I wouldn't give anything for my precious
three boys.
We have had over 10 offers to foster what
we thought was a young female, Emma whom
I told you about earlier today.
We still have 16
others who need foster
care
in South Texas.
"Emma" is in a North Texas shelter
and was found hiding under a car as a stray,
I just now spoke
to Cindy Leigh, one of our
North Texas Team
Leaders.
The shelter is now telling us that she isn't
available now until tomorrow, Friday, and
that Emma is now a male, so now we need to
rescue "Emmett".
This is what we have
from the shelter.

Emmett
<Poodle,
EXTREMELY URGENT
This cutie was found
as a stray under a car
and was brought to
the shelter. He is adorable
and so sweet. HE
is only about 1-2 years
old. Please help!
>
We are planing to go for him as soon as he
is available because that is also the time
they can be euthanized if they are full,
and they are.
We still desperately need your help with
many others.
Thank you for your messages of prayer and
concern. They mean so much. More than you
know.
All My Love, Robin

Two year old Gucci needs either a permanent
home or another foster home.
He is currently in South Texas. He was brought
into the shelter with a broken back and leg.
He is all well, now.

Cooper is about 2 years old. He finished
his heartworm treatment at the end of April.
Our vet wants to wait 3 months after treatment
before he is neutered, because his heartworms
were so bad. He wears a Belly Band, and most
of time it is not used. He is in San Antonio.

12 year old Samson is heartworm positive.

Two year old Zeke is heartworm positive.
He was found as a stray and was rescued from
a shelter.

See Vet Bills Paid by Small Paws Rescue for
the last week of May and the first 20 days
of June of 2011, totalling $33, 739.51.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
