Gem of the Day: A blind person asked St.
Anthony:
"Can there be
anything worse than
losing
your eye sight?"
He replied: "Yes,
losing your vision!"
Meet precious and
oh by the way, so very
sweet, "McDreamy".
McDreamy was seen being hit by a car. X-rays
tell us that he has a fractured pelvis and
needs surgery to repair it. He would be in
great pain if it weren't for the care he
is receiving until we can raise the funds
for his surgery.
We are hoping to be able to have his pelvis
repaired by Dr. Skip in OKC, on Thursday morning, with your help.
Skip's giving us
a discounted price
of $1750.00.
Anywhere else in
the Dallas- Ft. Worth, Texas
area it would be
about $3500-4000.00.
McDreamy needs your help. He will also need
a foster home within driving distance of
Oklahoma City as of this coming Saturday
morning.
HELP?
See below for more
pictures of this
precious
boy.
"McDreamy"
is named for one of
the main characters
on
the hit TV show, "Grey's Anatomy".

Robin,
There was so much going on at the shelter,
I had a hard time trying to keep up with
the discussion. My best recollection is that
someone saw McDreamy being hit by a car and
knocked silly. The witness called the shelter
which had animal control officer pick up
the dog. Blood was reported to have been
noted on his rear end. From looking at the
messy coat, I would say he was very poorly
cared for. However, he does have a nice disposition.
He just wants human attention. I sat him
on the passenger seat so he could be as close
to me as possible and I could put my hand
on him. He constantly got as close to me
as he could but had a hard time getting comfortable.
I'm sure that was caused by the pain from
the broken pelvis.
At the shelter and
then when I delivered
him to the vet on
Thursday, he was
hauled
out of the crate
without any trouble
at all.
He did not want to
jump down from the
crate
in my car on Thursday.
Now, we know why
and
that is he hurt too
badly to put a lot
of
weight on the pelvis
that a jump would
cause.
This guy will make
some family a super
dog.
That is if they like
a dog that wants
lots
of human attention
and love.
Don R.>

This is the face of pain.
This was taken before
we got McDreamy started
on meds for the pain.
We need your help to be able to help McDreamy.
I'm happy to issue
all matching challenges.
Being hit by a car,
and left on the side
of the road is bad.
I can't imagine one of
mine going through
this awful experience.
I'm hoping there
are those reading
this now
who may feel led
to help our latest
hit by
car Bichons, McDreamy
Small Paws. All My
Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
