As you know, Snoopy was an owner surrender who has
ORAL-NASAL FISTULAS. There is one pictured here.
He is scheduled for surgery TODAY. The cost is between $1600-1900.00 which includes a 50% rescue discount.

This will be the last newsletter before Snoopy is to go in for his surgery today.

I have to be away from the computer for a few hours so this is last call for his fundraising.

We have one more matching donation challenge.

This one is from Jan Triplett and it's a challenge for all foster parents.

Thank you for fostering Ollie, Janice!

Dear Robin,

I am issuing a challenge to all Foster Moms to match my $25.00 for Snoopy. I will pray that enough money can be raised for this cute little guy. Please everyone give as much as you can for Snoopy. I realize that times are very hard, but these little guys need us. Thank you.

Cheri, Cookie is still trying to hang on. When we went to see her last night and while we were leaving she tried to get up and follow us. She didn’t have much strength and sort of slid down and laid there. She wasn’t bleeding out of her nose anymore and they have her on fluids.

I called at 5 am this morning and her RBC went down 5% and about 2-3am she was coughing up blood and clots. She was resting then when I called this morning. Will be going up to see her later this morning. They have a lot to do and usually after 10am it is best to go but they have been informed that we will come up any time day or night if needed.

I dread every time the phone rings. Every moment of silence is a blessing as they don’t usually call with good news. No news is good news from them. I asked the doctor yesterday if she had seen dogs this bad recover and she said “I have seen some recover and some pass away.” So it is up to the Lord now whether she can stay at her home here with us on earth or go live with him in Heaven.

Don’t want her to suffer any more than she already has to but if there is a chance she can make it I pray she has the strength to do so. Thanks for your prayers as they have helped her make it this far.

We brought the little pink toy up to her yesterday. She of course isn’t interested in it but they put it on the front of her cage. One arm has been sewn back on and the nose is gone but Cookie won’t mind. She still liked to play with it.

Probably won’t be on the computer much right now but promise to keep you informed. Please continue to pray for her.

Thank you so much, Donna"

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
