Welcome! We hope you enjoy reading about
the Bichons and the people who love them!
If you missed our last newsletter, here it is.
We have the following three dogs who need
forever, adoptive homes.
They are presently
located in South
Texas,
but can be flown
to you.
This is an online adoption application, out
lining the fees to
adopt and have a
dog flown
to you.
We have flown over 5000 Bichons to their
waiting forever homes or to foster homes,
in the last 13 years. All of them have arrived
safely. Each one.
These below are ready to be adopted, and
if we don't have adoption applications come
in for them, we will need foster homes for
them.

"Shiner" One Year old Male
I am a sweet little Bichon Boy and the girls
at the Vet tell me the room shines when I
enter, so my name is Shiner. My age is about
one year and I come in at 14.3 #'s. I love
all and just want to please. Love to play
with my purple ball, you might say the ball
and I become one. I was a dirty matted mess
when the nice volunteer picked me up so had
to have a good hair cut but my coat is growing
out nicely and I will have a nice thick coat.
I have been neutered and up to date on my
vaccines plus I have a set of beautiful white
teeth. I like playing with the other pups
when I visit the volunteer's house and get
along with all of them and have had no accidents
in the house. I'm learning to walk on leash
and getting better each day. I know who my
mama was, but not so sure about my dad. I
have soft buff color coat with saddle markings
on my ears. Boy am I ready to go to my forever
home and make that home shine!

"Sally" Six Year Old Female
My name is Sally and I am a 6 year old girl
coming in at 16 #'s. I was turned into the
shelter by my owner. All my owner told the
shelter was my age, good with kids and I
had been spayed. I was picked up by a nice
lady from Small Paws and boy was I a stinky/dirty
mess. My hair was so matted and dirty so
the vet had to cut most of my coat off but
it is beginning to grow out so please excuse
my hair cut. I am a very sweet girl, walk
well on leash, HOUSETRAINED ( not a misprint)
and I will sit. When I get comfortable with
my surroundings then I am able to be at ease
and play. Once my coat grows out I will be
a very elegant girl. I am so ready to find
my forever home and give and receive love.
"Nappy" 2 year Old Male
Nappy came into to the Small Paws family
as a sick little boy. Now Nappy is a happy,
healthy two year old little guy that would
love to entertain you! He has earned the
nick name “Dancer” because he likes to dance
on his back legs and has performed for clients
at the Vet where he has been staying.
He comes in at between 12 and 13 #'s.
Nappy has a great
personality and is
looking
for a forever home!
Timmy 4 Year Old
Male
Timmy was rescued
from a shelter is
about
4 years old and about
10 #'s. I have been
having some issues
with low platelet
count
but I am doing fine
now. The techs all
tell
me I am the sweetest
little boy and just
love everyone. I
am neutered, have
had a
dental, and I had
a hernia repaired,
so you
can see I am ready
to go to my foster
home.
Please apply to be a much needed foster home
for Small Paws Rescue Inc.
Hope Two Year Old
Female
My name is Hope Small
Paws and I am two years
old. I am about 16
#'s. The nice volunteer
that picked me up
at that awful shelter told
me I was one beautiful
girl with a glowing
happy personality.
When the Dr. put me under
for my spay, the
tech told me I was happy
wagging my tail as
I went to sleep and was
just as happy wagging
my tail as I woke up.
I am just a happy
girl! My smile is now totally
fresh and white.
I'm very ready to go to
my foster or forever
home.
We want to offer our sympathies to Maureen
Mimmo and her family, regarding the loss
of her precious grandson, Arthur.
Maureen, we are praying
for you all. We are
so very sorry.
Editor's Note: (Maureen's Grandson had a
serious disease that didn't allow him to
grow, causing him many serious health issues
over the past years.)

Dear Jan,
I can't foster Elvis
but your email reminded
me I needed to tell
you about my Grandson
Arthur. Arthur passed
away unexpectedly
very
early Tuesday evening.
He was fine on Monday
got sick late Monday
evening and passed
away
a few hours later.
Please let Robin
know and tell her
to tell
everyone Thank you
for their prayers
for
our little man.
I know he is up in
Heaven running around
for all he's worth
with and Ipod in
one hand
and a 360 controller
in the other making
the Angels laugh.
Thanks, Maureen>
Ok, that's everything for now. All My Love,
Robin

Dear Robin,
I have been a part
of the Small Paws
gang
for quite some time
now and I really
need
to be put on the
prayer list if you
don't
mind.
I am having Thyroid issues that were discovered
by my Dentist of all people. Long story short,
my mother died from Thyroid cancer many years
ago and I am very scared. My husband and
kids are as well.
I need to have tests
done and I am absolutely
TERRIFIED. That is
the only word that
would
even come close.
Please send out my
name
for prayers for strength
and courage and
a good word. Thank
you in advance.
Sincerely,
Janine>

I am the foster mom
to Ollie in Michigan.
My 3 yr. old Bichon,
Willy, is going blind.
The vet is trying
to save his eyesight
and
said he would know
in 5 days if the
meds
are working.
Please pray for him
as he is in a lot
of
pain.
Thanking you in advance
for your prayers.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
