Gem Of The Day: "Best Friends Come in
All Shapes and Sizes."
See this amazing video of a special friendship
between a dog and an elephant!
"FooFoo" is a 4 year old female
Bichon who is "screaming in pain".
Sharyn Sarvela, her new foster Mom just called
me from MN. The stone is the size of a large
chicken egg. The vet is going in right now
to take it out!
And we have a Small Paws member who has offered
to match every donation and challenge made
to Small Paws Rescue through Labor Day.
See below to help!

If you missed our last newsletter, here it is.
Sharyn Sarvela just called. She said that
Little Bunny FooFoo is trying to be a chicken,
now.
She said that FooFoo is trying to lay an
egg. The bladder stone is the size of a large
egg and that's why no urine is passing.
They are going in
after it right now,
as
well as doing a dental
for an additional
$150.00.
We have the following matching donation challenges,
in addition to the Labor Day Weekend Challenge
from Jeanne Montross.
First from Shannon Shankle, we have this
challenge for $25.00 for little FooFoo! Thank
you Shannon!

I would like to send
a matching challenge
for $25 for lil bunny
foo foo to challenge
anyone else who would
like the previous
owner
to have their own
bladder stones so
they
would know how their
poor fluff felt all
this time it was
suffering. It may
not be
a nice thought but
I imagine I'm not
the
only one that thinks
it. They should be
ashamed
of themselves.

And from one of our application processors,
we have this challenge for $50.00. Thank
you Laine and Toby!

Hi Robin,
We have made a donation
of $50 and challenge
other Small Paws
volunteers to match
it.
If someone will match
ours, and a very
generous
Jeanne Montross will
match them both,
we
will be that far
ahead in meeting
the needs
of all those poor
abandoned pups that
have
lately come under
the Small Paws Blanket.
We want them all
to look like this:

Lazy Boy Sparky, former Small Paws rescue
whose entire underside
had been burned. Laine>
And this is our huge Labor Day Weekend Challenge
from Jeanne Montross. Jeanne, you are moving
bladder stones AND MOUNTAINS this weekend.
THANK YOU!

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
