Sally, we are so happy for you and for Daisy!
Have a great weekend,

All My Love, Robin
Dear Robin,

Daisy Flynn
Thank you for sending out a prayer request
for my little Daisy. She was rushed to the
emergency hospital on Monday within a hour
after she had returned home from receiving
care at her vets office for a virus she had
contracted. Her little body was lifeless
as we rushed her back to the vets office.
I knew she was gravely ill but never expected
to lose my best little girlfriend on this
earth. I pleaded with God to spare her and
I pleaded with Daisy to hold on and fight
just a little harder. She was rushed to the
hospital which was thankfully located next
to the vet office and the skilled hands worked
on my little girl. Then the prayer warriors
and many friends’ prayers kicked in. God
heard them and I will not be convinced otherwise
that I did not witness a miracle before my
eyes.
Daisy was released
from the hospital
on Wednesday
night. She refused
to eat for anyone
at the
hospital. She was
in isolation and
my trying
to feed her was above
hospital policy.
The
vet told me she was
becoming very depressed.
Certainly she was!
She has never been
separated
from me for more
than eight hours
before!
She had no idea where
she was when she
regained
consciousness and
was surrounded by
strangers!
I took foods I knew
she liked for them
to
try but she refused
them also. The vet
told
me supportive care
is wonderful but
Daisy
needed to be with
her humans and in
her own
surroundings. She
wanted to release
her and
see if Daisy would
eat and she did.
I feared
her condition would
relapse because she
was
still bleeding and
I had been told it
had
stopped. I watched
closely over her
throughout
the night. We had
an appointment with
her
regular vet the following
afternoon.
Daisy continues to
improve and will
be seen
by her regular vet
again on Saturday
morning
because the hospital
failed to fax all
her
test results and
notes. This morning
has
been the best I could
hope for. Daisy is
happy and active.
She ate all her breakfast,
highly protested
my giving her medications
and has told me off
several times then
buttered
me up with a few
kisses. She’s the
Daisy
I know so well and
love. It’s as though
God
has fast forwarded
her healing so I
can feel
secure that she is
not going anywhere.
Thank you from the
bottom of my heart
for
including Daisy in
your newsletter and
requesting
prayers for her.
I am so grateful
to you
and to each person
who prayed for her
and
wrote with encouraging
words of support
for
my little girl. God
heard our prayers
and
spared my Daisy.
Love,
Sally Flynn, human
mommy to Daisy>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
