First, from Andy and Lori Foster, our TN. Team Leaders, we have this challenge! Thank you both so very much! we love you so very much!

Subject: 2014 Donation to SPR-$1,000

From: abichon@aol.com

Robin and Louie,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year:)))

As you know, Andy and I suffered the great loss of our little heart dog shih tzu, Lily, in November. We miss her so much but we know that Lily would want us to make a donation in her memory so that other bichons like her dog brothers and dog sisters could be helped through Small Paws Rescue. If you are going to put out a newsletter, our challenge would be for others to donate in memory of their fluffs or loved ones who have passed away. No amount is too big or too small as it all goes to help these innocent bichons who are losing their homes every day through no fault of their own. We would like to make a donation in the amount of $1,000.00 in memory of our Lily bug.

Louie..please apply it to our credit card on record.

Thanks and Love,
Lori and Andy Foster

P.S. Any bills incurred for Tennessee SPR bichons were also paid for by us unless a TN foster parent turned in a bill that they paid. That was approximately another $1,000 that SPR didn't have to incur and pay for. Hopefully this will help put a dent in the bills owed.>

And from Dawn Bove, we have this challenge for $100.00. Thank you Dawn for all that you have done for these Bichons! Is there anyone who can match Dawn?

An last but not least, from Cliff Wilson we have this challenge for New Year's Eve! Thank you Cliff!!

Hi Robin.

I would like to challenge every member of the Small Paws Nation to donate just one dollar,.$1 per tail wag per minute per dog to SPR.

For example, our Jujube’s tail has been clocked at 162 wags per minute, all the way from side to side! Our Hamlet has been clocked at just 46 wags per minute. So, Louie, if you would, please charge $208 on our credit card you have on file!

So, if every member of SPR donated just one dollar per tail wag, in one minute we could have thousands of dollars for this amazing organization! Get your stop watches out, get your dogs excited, and start counting! I dare you! Can anybody’s tail beat Jujube?

Cliff Wilson>

So there you have it for 2014!

Happy New Year!

All My Love, Robin

Now, I don't have a clue what I was saying her but thankfully, it must have been funny. Ha! Wait. Maybe is WASN'T funny. Hmm..

We had him for the last five years, He is very obedient normally when we say "stay" he will stop wherever he is, so some times we are used to play with him in the yard for he loves to run around the yard in circles, during that time we did not put him on the leash, this particular day he was not on leash and did not yield to the command when he saw some dog across the road. It took off so suddenly the on coming driver did not have time to stop the car. That is how it happened.>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
