Dear Small Pawsers,

Small Paws Rescue Online Newsletter, especially to those of you who may have recently seen us on December 20, 2013, on Fox and Friends in New York City , or on Animal Planet on "Dogs 101.", or you may have read about us in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Find Your Happiness, 101 Stories about Finding Your Purpose, Passion and Joy . You also may have seen us on "Inside Edition" with Deborah Norville!

If you missed our previous newsletter, here it is.

If you would like to share today's newsletter, this is the link!.

Normally, at the end of the year, several donations come in, both to help the Bichons, and to get those last minute deductions for your income tax.

This year, it has been a bit slow, so I wanted to remind you that there is still time to get that last minute tax deduction!.

Every dollar you donate to Small Paws Rescue is tax deductible.

It goes to help Bichons like these.

These are some of the videos shown at the Oklahoma Bash, back in October. They show some of the dogs whose lives you helped to save. Listen to the words of this music, and they will minister to your soul. Many thanks to Indiana volunteer, Rae Steebs, for putting this video together!

And who can forget the miracle that happened when "Henry" McKelvy was healed by God and the power of prayer. His veterinary specialist said she had never seen anything like it.

Henry was rescued by Sara Pace at one of the Chicago shelters after having been hit by a car. Your donation dollars helped to save him.

His vet told me on the phone that terrible morning, that Henry was going to die and she was advising his owners to euthanize him because there was no way he could recover.

She told me that I had never seen a dog so sick, and that she had never seen one this sick, that lived.

I told her that I HAD seen them that sick and I HAD seen miracles and that I was believing for one for Henry!

I asked her to give us some time to ask our Small Pawsers to stop, drop and pray with Intercessory prayer.

She got quiet and told me that maybe I better talk to Barbara, his Mama, and she got rid of that phone FAST! HA! (I think I scared her.. Crazy Dog Lady who PRAYS on the phone!)

I told her I HAVE seen miracles and that nothing is too big for God.

She aid she has come around to our way of thinking now, after seeing
Henry live to run and play another day!

This is Henry's story. You're going to love it!

And this next one was a slide show of some of the Bichons we've saved over the years. You'll recognize some of them!

What good friends were there at the Oklahoma Bash!

Next year's date is set for October 15 at the Beautiful Post Oak Lodge in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

And the 2014 Small Paws Rescue Of the Year, who was abandoned to fend for himself in an apartment parking lot, was rescued with the help of another rescue group, and then taken in by Small Paws. You HAVE to see these ladies at work! Oh My!

Meet little "Dickens"!

The 2014 Small Paws Rescue Dog Of The Year!

So these are just a few of the over 10,000 Bichons rescued by Small Paws Rescue since 1998.

But we can't do this work without you.

Vet bills are running nearly $1200.00 per day.

We also can't send these little ones to their new families with the message that God loves them more than anyone else ever has and more than anyone else ever will, without you.

As much as we love our Bichons, it's hard to imagine, yet so very true, that He loves us even more.

I'm so grateful that we can come to this newsletter with our prayer requests.

People often ask me why I think that Small Paws has been so successful for so long, when so many well intentioned other rescues come and sadly go.

I tell them that I know it's not because of me! Because I'm not that smart!

But the good news is that I know Someone Who is, and I believe he has covered us in mercy and grace over this 16 and a half year long journey we have traveled together, you and I.

If you want to help and get a tax deduction for 2014, now is the time to do it! We need you. THEY need you!

I will issue all New Years Matching donation challenges!

Louie is standing by, waiting to take your calls at 1-424-442-9484.

Thank you all for allowing me to have the thrill of a lifetime, by being a part of your lives and the lives of your dogs.

You'll never know what a blessing each and every one of you are to Dale and I!

Happy New Year!

All My Love, Robin

P.S. As promised, here are some pictures from the set an green room of Fox & Friends in NYC!

Steve Doocy and Mayor Rudy Giuliani, "play fight" over "Abby" Murray, adopted baby of Small Pawsers, Ed and Nancy Murray!

(The former NYC Mayor REALLY loved holding Abby and didn't want to let her go during the breaks. He is a real dog lover and was very kind to us! A real gentleman!)

Director of Adoptions, Bonnie Ferguson

Now, I don't have a clue what I was saying her but thankfully, it must have been funny. Ha! Wait. Maybe is WASN'T funny. Hmm..

>When these folks applied to adopt, and we asked how their Bichon was killed by a car, this was their response. We hear this on an average of once a week.

(These are NOT Bichons adopted from Small Paws.)

PLEASE don't take a chance with the life of your Bichon!
We do not adopt to people who allow their dogs to run loose.

Subject: Re: Small Paws Rescue

We had him for the last five years, He is very obedient normally when we say "stay" he will stop wherever he is, so some times we are used to play with him in the yard for he loves to run around the yard in circles, during that time we did not put him on the leash, this particular day he was not on leash and did not yield to the command when he saw some dog across the road. It took off so suddenly the on coming driver did not have time to stop the car. That is how it happened.>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
