Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas!!
It's a wonderful
time of year to be so very
thankful for all
of our blessings!
For me, it's a precious time for remembering
the birth of Jesus, over 2000 years ago,
yet He Lives even today!
The miracles we have
seen in this rescue
organization are
now too numerous to mention,
after 16 1/2 years!
Including being invited back each year to
the largest cable news network, ox News,
in NYC, to tell about our magnificent obsession,
started back in 1998.
How does that happen?! I do not know! I only
know that it's not me making it happen!
I believe with all of my heart that this
organization is a God Thing and He has found
favor with our mission. what a blessing it
is to have this opportunity to tell millions
about what we do here at Small Paws!
We will be on this
Friday morning, between
8:30-9:00 Eastern
Time.
Please pray that I don't trip on the wires
taped to the floors, and that I don't say
something stupid that I can't push back into
my mouth! (Those of you who really know me,
understand that this is a real possibility,
yet, I digress.)
So, Bonnie Ferguson and I are leaving, (Airfare,
Limo Service, and Boutique Hotel,) all courtesy
of Fox and Friends, bright and early on Thursday
morning.
They treat us like
celebrities and each
time,
is just like the
very first time!
You will not meet a more down to earth group
of people, from the producers, hair and make
up people, down to the talented crew who
sit on the curvy couch, Elisabeth Hasselbeck,
Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade.
They have all been just wonderful to us over
the years and we thank them!

Also, many thanks to everyone who donated
and prayed for little "Armani"!
The surgeon successfully removed the mass
on his head, and it is benign!

His foster parents have adopted him! Here
he is with his new Dad! He is expected to
have a normal life after this!! (Armani, not his Dad)
Thank you and thank God, this little boy
is going to be ok!
Then, this morning in Florida, our Florida
Team Leader, Vickie Inglee, (vette99@tampabay.rr.com)
stopped what she was doing, (which was moving
from her old home into a new one), and rescued
this little girl, who desperately needs our
help.
I always try to tell you that we will pick
the most inopportune times to call you with
an emergency.
Not just everyone
can do this correctly.
It's an art we have
perfected over the years.
We plan it years
in advance.
We usually like to call you with an emergency
on Christmas Eve, when you have 32 people
in your home for dinner, and the flu.
Oh, and a nice ice storm always helps as
well.
Thank you Vickie for going after this little
one!
We have named her
"Noel" and she
needs your prayers.
Noel is five years old and came in as an
owner surrender from people who could no
longer afford her care. They also said they
were allergic to her hair falling out.
Noel hadn't been
to a vet in her entire
five
years until this
happened.
The suspected diagnosis of her illness, made
by the dermatologist this morning is CANINE PEMPHIGUS FOLIACEUS.

Noel's tummy is covered in pus filled sores.

Noel's ear flap is covered in crusty sores.

Noel's back.

Noel's hair is falling out in clumps, into
her sweater. She truly does need out emergency
care.
We spent $476.00 on her, just at the Dermatologist
today.
Now, she is at Vickie's vet awaiting the
biopsy results of these sores.
She also needs medication, a dental, quarantine,
and vaccinations.
The estimate for everything she will need
is for between $1000.00-1200.00.
The suspected cause of her illness, made
by the dermatologist this morning is CANINE PEMPHIGUS FOLIACEUS.
Then, in Northern
Texas, under the direction
of our Team Leader,
Susie Perez, susanna.perez@gmail.com,
we have this precious
girl.
We've named her "Glitter" for Christmas,
because after we get done with her she is
going to SPARKLE!! She is around 9 years
old and was rescued from a shelter.

"Glitter"after shaving those mats
off of her!
Those are just two that have come in.
It's December and
funds are not coming
in
as usual.
These little ones
don't know that,
though.
We have one matching
donation challenge,
that didn't make
it in last time. Thank you,
Jeanne!
If someone can match her, that would be $600.00
for Bichons like Noel and Glitter.

Robin, Sounds like
you sure have been
busy
and what happens
when Sara Pace goes
on vacation?
And how are all of
your kids? Mine continue
to be funny and entertaining
and are so much
fun. Missy had a
full recovery from
her fall
debacle and no signs
of any long lasting
problems. I on the
other hand had a
golf
cart vs suv event,
the cart is dead,
thankfully
I had seat belts
on so I am not. But
I have
a messed up hand
so will be doing
the hunt
and peck method with
my computer, and
of
course I don't get
to do all my play
things.
I have a crew of
people to help me
take the
dogs out for exercise
and a driver.
Anyway would like
to make $300 matching
challenge
for you to use anyway
you need to.
hugs, Jeanne>
I am here through tomorrow evening about
six.
After that I am packing and getting myself
to bed for an 0 dark thirty flight to the
Big Apple.
Joanne Raus will be screening for emergencies.
I'm here now and will issue any matching
donation challenges!
All My Love, Robin
