Bichons For Adoption By Nationwide Click Here

December 15, 2010

Gem of the Day:Dreams: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.
Live the life you've imagined."

Small Paws Rescue has once again been invited to NYC to appear live on
The Fox News Network's morning show, Fox and Friends
.

We will be on Fox and Friends. this Friday morning, December 17, 2010.
Our segment will air sometime between 7:00-8:00 A.M EASTERN TIME.
We have a few volunteers bringing some of their Bichons in,
as well as some for adoption!

They really are giving a tremendous gift to us each time they invite us to come back!

They pay for flights and hotel, and this is really great exposure for SPR!

Many of you have come to us after seeing us there, first.
(please do not worry. None of our Bichons will be adopted out as Christmas gifts.)

This is a YouTube video of our second appearance back in September.

And this is a YouTube video of our first appearance back in December of 2009

We have one last challenge for Maddie Marie who has a mass on her bladder.

Mattie Marie
(From Robin: This is not bladder stones. It is a mass pressing against the bladder. Estimate to remove it is $1500-1700.00.)

This challenge is from Deb Fahey, the Team Leader for this area. Thank you Deb!

HI Robin, I would like to issue four (4) $25 challenges for Maddie Marie's surgery. I thought that smaller amounts would be easier for people at this busy and expensive time of the year!!

Susan, please charge my card for $100. Thanks!!

Dear Robin,
My Grandson Arthur is in pre op as I type to get a second central line put in.
He will be starting chemo tomorrow and will be having a bone marrow transplant on Monday December 20th.
Arthur just turned seven last month and has a combined imunodefiency disorder and a lung disease Bronchiectasis.
He is smaller than his 20 month old brother and this may be his only chance to grow up.
Please ask the prayer warriors and all of the Small Paws family to pray for Arthur.
Thank You

Hi Robin,

I know it has been awhile since I have e-mailed you but SPR and you
are always in my prayers. I will try to keep this short as I know
you are very busy.

I am asking you to please keep Chris and I in your prayers. Last
year at this time, Chris was told that his salary was being cut by
$68,000. He kept this from me until about 3 weeks ago as he wanted to
protect me. Our entire life's savings is gone and we have just
filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. We will know on January 10th whether our
filing has been approved. I ask that you pray it is approved. We
are going to keep the cabin in GA and hope to move there in April. We
told Brant and Edith about it and they have been very supportive. I
know they are excited that we are moving closer to them as are we. We
love them as they are family to us. We have not been happy since
moving to Wisconsin. The first thing was the situation of having
three Bichons and having to move out of our condo because of the two
dog limit and as a result of all this I ended up in the hospital
twice because of stress but the insurance wasn't paying my bills
because Chris's boss did not change us from the Florida network to
Wisconsin so we had to pay for most. We are still trying to get this
settled. Even though we are losing almost everything and probably
would not be in this bad of a situation if it hadn't been for having
the problems with the condo, Chris and I would not change our
decision. We love our three Bichons and having them and each other
means more than any material things in this world. Their
unconditional love is priceless!! As long as they are happy and
taken care of, that is all that matters to us. Our cabin is only
12x24 but we will make it work as long as we are together. The Fluff
Brigade love being at the cabin and I am sure they will have no
trouble adjusting. Again, please keep us in prayer and as soon as
this is settled and we move, I hope to become more involved for SPR
in GA. We continue to keep SPR and you in prayer and we will pray
that all the little ones that need to be placed in foster homes will
be there by the new year. We wish you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A
WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!! MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS SPR AND YOU ALWAYS!!

Love,
Pat & Chris Smith>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
