Gem of the Day: If you wish, you can see
the miracle that took place this afternoon,
with the birth of the last puppy and he is
ALIVE! If you are strong of tummy, as this
is a live C-section, keep watching. It looks
as if all is lost at first, but then they
intubated him and the vet breathed for him
into the small tube. Then Sara Pace bagged
him for a while, still helping him to breathe,
while she was talking to me. I asked Sara
to put the phone up to him and I prayed for
him, the staff, and for Sara who was assisting
in the birth. That's the exact moment I heard
his first little yelp over the phone. Then
he did it again. He was breathing on his
own. Prayer changes things!

We have two medical
emergencies happening.
As well as the births today, we took in an owner surrender in Michigan
that has some of
the most severe allergies
the dermatologist
has ever seem.
7 year old Janie has some of the worst allergies
her dermatologist has ever seen. We had to
spend $1567.18 on her yesterday as an emergency.
$313.43 was the rescue discount, which was
20% off of the total.
HELP. It's a Holiday
weekend.
This is her bill and we need help to pay it! This dog was
suffering!
This is the report
and discharge orders of
a Board Certified
Dermatologist.
We have the following matching donation challenges
for these two true emergencies on this Labor
Day Weekend of 2015.
First, from The Sunshine State of Florida,
we have this challenge for $300.00 from Terri
and Jon. Thank you both! Is there anyone
who can match them?

Hi Robin & Louie,
I just received the
most recent Small
Paws
newsletter.
Please issue a challenge
for $300 to help
with whoever needs
it! Tuffy suffers
from
allergies and we
hate it when he's
miserable,
however we're grateful
his allergies are
not anywhere close
to the level that
poor
Michigan Bichon has!
Let me know if you
need anything. Thank you!
Jon, Terrie &
Tuffy>
And also from Florida,
we have this Matching
Challenge from Jeanne
Montross and her Bichon,
Chipper, for $300.00.
Thank you Jeanne!

Robin,
You obviously are not on vacation nor are
the needy bichons. My garage door ER Izzie
is still under treatment but is down to just
taking the meloxicam. In fact I cut her dose
in half as she lost 2 1/2 lbs which is fair
amount for 13 lb. The vet said that it was
the same leg she was operated on when she
was 2. And now the questions have the existing
pins moved and is that the problem that she
is having post garage door assault. So I
would like to issue a challenge for $300.00.
Chipper. Jeanne D.Montross>
And from Barbe Von Netzer in OKC, we have
this challenge. Thanks, my Sister Friend.
Robin,
I would like to issue
a $150.00 challenge
for these poor pups.
$50.00 for each dog.
Please help folks.
Even if you only have
one bichon, $50.00.
Thanks! Love Barbe>
And we have this challenge for 25.00 from
Claire. Thank you Claire!

My small $25.00 challenge
would be to all
of those who want
so much to help but
feel
that a small donation
isn't enough.
Our small donations ARE enough and with 10
people, it totals $250.00.<
August really hit us hard. There are too
many that we took in to even show you, without
your eyes glazing over.
Owner surrenders were especial high this
August.
Go on vacation, and
dump the dog. Save on
boarding that way,
I guess.
The shelters in Texas have been especially
busy too.
North and South Texas need foster homes.
Thanks to those of
you who are still here.
All My Love, Robin

Paws Rescue
We had him for the
last five years,
He is
very obedient normally
when we say "stay"
he will stop wherever
he is, so some times
we are used to play
with him in the yard
for he loves to run
around the yard in
circles,
during that time
we did not put him
on the
leash, this particular
day he was not on
leash and did not
yield to the command
when
he saw some dog across
the road. It took
off so suddenly the
on coming driver
did
not have time to
stop the car. That
is how
it happened.>

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug
30, 2006
When I first saw
this beautiful picture
of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do,
and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it.
Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he
smiled.
