Gem of the Day: Take some time to enjoy old friends, make new ones, and spend an Autumn weekend with your Bichons, under darkness of October skies, in one of the most beautiful settings in the State of Oklahoma.

It's that time of year again! The 2015 Okie Bash is Coming!

The 17th Annual Small Paws Rescue Oklahoma Bash in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be held on the weekend of October 16 and October 17, 2015. Friday and Saturday nights!

The sleeping room rate, including two continental breakfasts per room is $104.00 for all rooms.

(If you want a King room, you should call A.S.A.P. in order to try to get one of the remaining King rooms!)

This is one of the sleeping rooms. High thread count linens and down comforters. High speed Internet in the rooms, as well as cable TV.

The room rate, including two continental breakfasts per room is $104.00 for all rooms, including a continental breakfast for two.

There are eight total bungalows. Each bungalow has it's own living room, dining room, a kitchen with fridge and microwave.

The two large bungalows have 10 sleeping rooms upstairs and 8 sleeping rooms downstairs.

All in all there are 60 sleeping rooms there on site.

Each sleeping room has a TV and there is a big screen flat screen TV in the living room of each bungalow.

Yes, you can share a room with two queen sized beds with a friend and split the cost.

If you are really friendly, you may have four in a room.

(There are two breakfasts included per room. Additional breakfasts for more than
two people are available for $12.00 including gratuity.)

A Nice Continental breakfast will be offered by the Chef, for $12.00, including gratuity

if you decide to come in as an "Early Bird" on Thursday.

(Post Oak Lodge no longer stocks the lodges with any food or beverage.

Accommodations

"Our comfortable and tasteful lodge is comprised of 60 executive-class sleeping rooms, both single and double occupancy. Along with amenities such as irons and hair dryers, all rooms have complimentary high-speed wireless and secure Internet connectivity, a study area and telephones. The common areas in our 2 Executive lodges include pool tables, shuffleboard, and card tables as well as a TV and DVD for evening enjoyment and relaxation. Each lodge has a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and ice maker. Several rooms are handicapped accessible. For those who want to keep in shape, our workout facility is available 24 hours a day., and guests can always explore the woods or climb the hills using the many available trails.

Louie Bertolino invites you to join him at the hot tub and pool at sunrise. (It's more like a full blown spa!)

There will also be a Bichon Costume Contest by the lake on Saturday during our picnic, so bring your dogs!

The room where we will have our banquet on Friday night, October 16, 2015. The price for the banquet dinner will be $28.00.

Our Friday Night Banquet will be there on site,

and your dogs will be right there, on site, in your bungalows!

Let the lodge know of any food allergies or if you are a vegetarian.

(Chef is very good at providing for special requests!)



Once we get there we won't have to leave. This is where we will have our Saturday picnic, by the lake.
The price for the picnic meal will be $18.00. We will have an additional side item this year.

We will also have several heaters if needed, but the dates we have selected this year should
provide EXCELLENT autumn weather!!! The extra rain we have had is predicting premium fall colors!!



There will also be a Bichon Costume Contest by the lake on Saturday during our picnic, and bring your dogs!

The Barbecue Dinner down at the Covered Pole Barn will be Saturday Night at 6:30 P.M.

The cost of dinner at the poll barn will be $25.00. Bring your dogs! We will have heaters!



After the barbecue dinner Saturday night, we will retreat to just outside of Cabin One, where we will enjoy a roaring Bonfire.

There will be conversation, and past memories shared.


(Bring your guitars, fiddles, anything you can play, and join in the fun!)

The Bonfire is the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend, together.

There will be seating and you are welcome to bring your dogs, along with any refreshments you would like.

The "You Betcha I'm Coming In Early!" Itinerary!

Usually, about 30-35 of us arrive early, in time for dinner on Thursday night!

This is a great time which kicks off our fun filled weekend of good friends and Bichons!

We will be going out to dinner at Kilkenny's Irish Pub at 7:00 P.M.

If you need to be picked up at the airport, we will have someone come and pick you up and take you out to Post Oak Lodge!

P.S. (We must ask that due to liability issues, that you leave dogs who bite at home as well as dogs who are aggressive to other dogs.
Dogs who are known biters or aggressive to other dogs will not be allowed lodging at Post Oaks Lodge .

Humphrey Sisco

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
