Gem of the Day: "Life is meaningless
only if we allow it to be. Each of us has
the power to give life meaning, to make our
time and our bodies and our words into instruments
of love and hope."
~ Tom Head ~

1 1/2 half year old "Sophia Rose"
was thrown away alive, into a trash dumpster.
Her case has become an official animal cruelty
case. She is ours, now. She is also heartworm
positive. There are new matching challenges
for Sophie Rose, below.

Good Morning Robin,
I just read about Sophia Rose and have been
waiting to pay tribute to our beloved Miss
Ivy in some small way. Ivy's very life was
saved almost 11 years ago by Small Paws Rescue
with a high, middle of the night right hind
leg amputation. A child in Ohio had put a
rubber band on her leg and gangrene had set
in. We Let Ivy (almost 17) Go With Love on
April 26th but her "Can Do Spirit"
will never be forgotten.
We would like to
offer a $50.00 challenge
for anyone who has
ever loved a "Perfect
Dog" because
that's what Ivy was, every
day of her life here
with us!
Thank You Small Paws
Rescue Angels.
Sophia Rose, you
truly are a treasure.
LOVE, Kay (Corning,
NY)>
And from Jeanne Christofferson we have this
challenge. Earrings, anyone?

the boys will send in
$100.00 too. Thank
you! Jeanne Christofferson>

much.

And LIVE, from Manhattan in NEW YORK CITY,
we have this challenge from Deborah Berger
and her famous celebrity Bichon, Boris. Thank
you both, so much again!
Dear Robin.,
To you and all volunteers,
team leaders,
everyone who steps
up to the plate

THIS IS FOR YOU with gratitude, and to the
rest, this is the reality. Dogs like Sophia
Rose ARE FALLING AND SPR IS RACING AGAINST
TIME.
Folks, please pick
a line or two at
$20.00
per line, or match
my challenge for
$220.00.
Thanks, Deborah and
Boris Berger.
I know that Sophia
Rose's story is hauntingly
cruel, and unbelievable.
Some of the things
we see and hear are
to
much for many of
you to even see.
Sophia Rose's story
is one that needed to
be shared.
The Police Chief
himself knew of the work
that we do. Of the
work that you support.
He knew that we would
be a haven for her,
all thanks to so
many of you.
Thank you all for
that,
All My Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
