Foster homes are desperately needed for the
following Bichons who have completed their
vetting and are ready to go to foster care
now!
It would be wonderful to find foster homes
within driving distance of either South Texas
or of Phoenix, AZ., but if that isn't possible
we may be able to fly one to you.
Volunteering to be
a foster home is
easy!
Small Paws Rescue pays all vet bills and
you will have a great Team Leader to walk
you through any and all questions.
And, if you decide you want to adopt your
foster dog, you get the first chance to adopt
before anyone else does, AND you get a reduced
Foster Parent adoption fee!
We need foster homes desperately in North
and South Texas, in Arizona, and in the Chicago
IL. area. (Sara Pace just took in four more
Bichons from that infamous shelter near Chicago)
Really, wherever you are, we need YOU!
This is how to be
begin if you are
not already
a Small Paws Rescue
volunteer!

Kia and Cam
We have this precious bonded pair who are
brother and sister. They are four years old.
The little girls, Kia, comes in at 13#'s
and the little boy, Cam, is 16 #'s. They
are victims of a divorce.:( So they lost
their home, their children, and their security.
They must be adopted or fostered together.
They are all each other has left.

Baxter
This is 2 year old
Baxter who came to us
from a kill shelter.
He had one beautiful
coat that was terribly
matted so we had to
trim him close but
once he grows out he will
have a handsome buff
colored coat with some
saddle highlights.
Baxter is a very active
boy, sweet personality
and wants to please.
We are working on
basic commands and he is
learning and doing
well. We would like to
get him into a foster
home or an adoptive
home as soon as possible
so if you feel that
you could help Baxter
or have a friend that
might become a foster
volunteer please let
me know. He is in
good health and up to date
on all vaccines.

Raphael
Click here to see a short video of Raphael
in action!
Est. birth date 12/14/2010
We believe that Raphael is a Maltese/Bichon
mix. He comes in at only 6.2 #'s and he is
a play boy, just over a year old!
He is staying at
the vet's but many nights
he goes home with
the staff because is sooo
cute! He has been
a perfect gentleman at
everyone’s home.
He also loves to cuddle!
He is so small that
we do not want to go
to a home with children
under 10 years old.
Marvin is one year old.
Approx. Birth date: 09/15/2010 and comes
in at 24 #'s.
Marvin is a talker not a barker but a talker.
Yes that is what I said.
Character comes to mind when I think of Marvin.
He is a young dog
but very well behaved.
Marvin has been neutered and teeth cleaned
and he is ready to find a forever home. The
vet thinks that Marvin is a Bichon/Havanese
mix.
Marvin is deaf in
his left hear but
he hears
fine from the right
ear.
We are starting to
train Marvin with
hand
signals.
He is an awesome dog!
He is going to make
someone a great pet!

Tanner
(Tanners foster Mom
is leaving for 3.5 months.
Help!)
Tanner is a darling little (about 12 3's)
Bichon/Poodle mix. He is an explosion of
apricot curls. He's really quite hilarious,
with his disheveled look and wagging tail!
Tanner was born sometime in 2002 and can
be adopted for the Senior Dog Rate of $75.00
He's a loveable baby. He loves to sit in
his foster mommys lap and cuddle. She can
carry him in her arms like a baby. He's anxious
to please. Tanner needs a loving, patient
mom or dad who can understand his needs because
his cataracts are severe enough that he bumps
into furniture if he doesn't know the territory.
Once he is familiar with the house, he does
much better. Tanner would very much enjoy
a home with other dogs so that he can follow
their activities. He sleeps on his foster
parents bed in his little dog bed and is
quiet all night. He is working hard on his
house training and doing well. Children in
your home should be aged 10 and over. He's
a good little watch dog too!
So those are our
urgent foster needs!
Thanks in advance
if you can share
your heart
and home with one
of these little ones!

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
