The Basket Babies
We have not yet raised enough to vet these
two little ones, abandoned in a Walmart parking
lot in a shopping cart, dehydrated from in
the hot AZ sun. Help is still needed. The
little female has a large abscess in her
mouth that needs attention.
(The Vet estimate is for $800.00 for the
pair to be vetted.)

As you know, we now have "The Basket
Babies", abandoned
in the hot sun in
AZ in a shopping
basket.
Below is the story from Derek Phelps, our AZ. Team Leader, and we have new matching challenges for them as well.

Hi Robin:
I have attached a photo of Samson and Delilah,
approximately 3 yrs. old
each.
The Bonded pair of
Pups that we took
in this
past week here in
Phoenix, AZ.. (Editor's Note: The Vet said
they "freaked out" when one was
taken from the sight of the other. They are
definitely bonded.)
They were found abandoned in a shopping cart
in the middle of a
WalMart parking lot out in the hot sun, scared
and dehydrated.
A good Samaritan
that found them called me.
They are now safe
and part of our Small Paws
Family.
It is estimated that it will cost around
$800.00 for their vet exams,
vaccinations, heart worm testing, grooming,
quarantine boarding, and dentals.
Poor little Delilah's'
front teeth are "ground
down" to almost
the gum
line, with a very
large abscess that will
need attention right
away.
I am hoping our Small
Paws Warriors can
come
together to help
out Samson and
Delilah.
They are absolutely
super sweet and precious
and so deserving
of
the best life we can provide them with.

We have this matching donation challenge
for "The Basket Babies" from our

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
