See Vet Bills Paid by Small Paws Rescue for August, 2018
coming to $31,875.43 which is an average of $1.028.24 per day.

We now have "Yoda", the last of the five Bichons and Bichon Mixes needing rescued from shelters last week. Yoda is now safe and sound ! This is a picture of his freedom ride to the vet's office with Karla Carter, our South Texas Team Leader. You did it. No one was left behind.

And though we didn't have enough left over to pay his vet bill and get this one out of the CACC shelter in Chicago, we did it on faith that funds would come in for him. His vet bill will be between $1200-1500.00 for his complete vetting and quarantine. We have named him "Bijou" and he still needs help with his vet bill.

And, "Crew", who needed his gall bladder removed, finally got a break from the heat and was flown to OKC where Dr. Skip Tangner removed it.

Oklahoma Team Leader, Ginger Wetz, picked little Crew up at the OKC airport and drove him to Dr. Skips for surgery on Thursday evening.

Then on Saturday, Kaye Wiley, his new foster Mom picked him up and took home on Saturday. It was a complete success! He is prancing in her back yard and happy to be out of a cage.

So we have six new Small Paws Bichons or Bichon Mixes.

Thank you all so very much.

We are still in need of a round trip airline ticket.

We have a request that we are hoping someone can fill by using their extra airline or credit card miles that they aren't planning to use themselves.

We are hoping to bring Small Pawser, Stacy Washburn, the great photographer who photographed the Small Paws Florida Bash, to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to photograph our 20th Anniversary Bash weekend!

See her work from back in March, here!

She is professional photographer, and if we can get her here to Tulsa, she will be taking pictures of the entire weekend, with her professional equipment, at no cost to us.

This is our 20th Anniversary and we want to have those memories saved for years to come, so that we may share them with all of you who aren't able to be here.

Thank you Stacy so very much for this very generous gift!

But we do need to fly Stacy here from Sarasota Florida (SRQ) to Tulsa, Oklahoma (TUL) on Thursday morning, October 18, 2018, returning on Sunday, late morning on October 21, 2018.

Do we have any frequent fliers who can donate a round trip ticket for Stacy?

I know some of you have offered to donate miles to Small Paws but the airlines won't let us do that.

It needs to be an actual round trip ticket purchased with your miles.

If you have enough miles that you can spare for a ticket, please let me know at robin@smallpawsrescue.org.

We are coming up on only SIX short weeks away from our 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Bijou needs your help.

All My Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
