This is the official invitation to The 20th Anniversary Small Paws Rescue Oklahoma
Bash in Tulsa, Oklahoma on October 19-20,
2018!
Postoak Lodge is
now officially sold
out
for the weekend of
our 20th Anniversary
Bash,
but there is a short
waiting list in case
of cancellations!
We have raised enough
to pay vet bills for
the three Bichons
We have the three Bichons
safely in custody!
And we just picked the first Bichon Mix up!
Here he is on his freedom ride to the vet's
office, today, thanks to you!
A1579207 SAFE!
Male stray approximately 2 years old.
We have just named him "Sammy"!
This is the one we still need about $1200.00
help with.
We have a new challenge for $300.00 from
Mr. and Mrs. John Corcoran at jcorcp5@hotmail.com.
Thank you both so much! I hope that someone
can match you for "Yoda". (We don't
even have him yet but he just looks like
a Yoda to me.) We need to get him out. He
is off stray hold TOMORROW and they need
the space.
<Robin, Just spent
$300.00 for meds on
our 12 year old Bichon
mix (rescue pup) and
decided that these
fluffs that need rescuing
deserve at least
a matching donation. Can
someone match us?>
Crew is on the way
to Dr. Skip now from the
OKC Airport.
That's the news for
now. Robin
~~~
I'm hoping that enough comes in today to
get the two mixes out and pay their vet bills.
We are about $1500.00 short as of this writing.
We have these two
matching challenge
donations
for $100.00.
First, we have another challenge from Dawn
Bove at d.bove@fcpmllc.com, for $100.00.
Thank you again, Dawn! I'm praying someone
can match your second challenge! This is
a very generous challenge. Thank you!
Good Afternoon Robin: I will make another
challenge for $100.00 for the newest little
one. I will match anyone who matches my $100.00
challenge.
We have to raise
enough for all of
them.
This is the reason
why we signed up
for this.
We cannot abandon
them.
As always sent with
Love, Dawn>
<And from Carrie Rogers, our Team Leader
to The Pacific Northwest, at auntcookierogers@hotmail.com,
we have this challenge for $100.00. Thank
you Carrie!
I will issue a challenge
for $100.00 from
me. We have to save
the mixes too! Carrie>
That's where we are.
Thank you all for your
faithfulness and
believing in us. we are
giving it our all.
We have been so very
blessed.
To whom much is given, much is required.
Now there is ANOTHER ONE IN A SHELTER IN SOUTH TEXAS.
From: kcarter759@sbcglobal.net (kcarter759@sbcglobal.net)
Subject: A1579207
Small white male dog
They sent this just now to see if we would
confirm. Male stray approximately 2 years
old.
Hopefully he won't need a dental but his
bill would be $908.00. He is Heartworm Negative.
We have a new matching donation challenge
for $100.00 from Judy DeAngelis at jadeangelis@cox.net.
Thank you Judy. Is there anyone who can match
Judy?
Good Morning,
I will issue a challenge
of $100.00 for the
four beautiful fluffs.
Thanks for working
daily to save lives.
Judy DeAngelis>
We have raised enough to pay for the vetting
for two of the four.
If we HAVE to leave anyone, it would have
be the two mixes, the one above from today
and this one, as he is not a pure Bichon.
And I would be sick. They have both obviously
known a Bichon in their family tree.
This is where we
are. I will issue
all matching
donation challenges.
Please pray for funding to come in and for
them to stop falling from the skies 'til
we can all catch our breath.
Time is of the essence.
I'm planning to pull
an all nighter for
these four shelter
Bichons
to raise funds for
their vetting.
We have a matching challenge for $500.00
from Dawn Bove at d.bove@fcpmllc.com. Thank
you Dawn! I'm praying someone can match you!
Robin
Good Evening Robin:
when it rains it
pours.
Please keep up the
wonderful work you
do.
I will make a challenge
for $500.00.
Please let's all
come together for
these
little babies.
That's it for now.
Gem of the Day: From
Robin. I'm on overwhelm
drive here. I don't
know what else to
do
except to come and
tell you. We have
four
Bichons needing to
come in from shelters
in both South Texas
and Chicago. Please
read
as this is life and
death information.
I've have been telling
you all that vetting
is running $600-800.00
per dog, including
our rescue discount.
That evidently is out of date information
if you have been watching our vet bills.
Vet costs have risen and it's being passed
on to us.
WITHOUT a dental,
one of our vets sent this
estimate to us for
two one year old males.
The estimate is for
$908.96 EACH and that
is NOT including
dentals because they are
so young.
Our main vet in the Chicago area, Plainfield
Animal Clinic told us it is averaging about
$1200-1500.00 depending on what's wrong,
PER DOG to vet and quarantine shelter Bichons.
We are down to under $100.00 in our bank
account and FOUR more Bichons need to come
in and they are not just a year old. They
will need dentals.
We need to raise funds to be able to pay
for them before we get them. I just feel
this so strongly in my heart. We HAVE to
be able to pay their vet bills.
You know that I don't ask unless there is
a need.
It's still August and August just ate our
lunch. There was no way to prepare for what
happened this summer. More major medical
issues than I can remember in 20 years.
These FOUR need to come into rescue in the
next 24 hours. And we have a fifth below
named Pippa. We will need a minimum of $6000.00
to save and vet them IF they are Heartworm
negative.
These are the notices about the shelter Bichons
needing Small Paws.
have any questions.
We also have you all confirmed on Dalton
A778836, pw attached. His owner did not come for
him.
I have requested hw test, but otherwise he
is ready to go. Can you pick him up today
or tomorrow with A779001.
Please let us know,
thank you!>
We also just picked
up A-307143 from the
Montgomery County
Shelter in South Texas.
We named her "Pippa"
and she needs
everything.
They are needing $6000.00 to save these five
lives and pay their vet bills. Remember we
always get a rescue discount. We don't work
with vets who can't offer one.
They all deserve names and not just a number.
Our vet bills are costing us $1,202.90 every
day across the country.
See Vet Bills Paid by Small Paws Rescue for
the first 21 days of August, 2018 coming to $25,260.82 which is an average
of $1.202.90 PER DAY
I don't want to ever have to leave someone
there. They are short of space at these shelters.
These dogs MUST get out of there.
I'm here and will
issue matching challenges
but time is short.
My goal is for Small Paws to get all four
out and to vet Pippa.
Help. They need help.
When I first saw
this beautiful picture
of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought
it was truly the
epitome of what we
do, and
why we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and white picture
of Humphrey, taken
only
days before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
