Gem of the Day:
Click here to see a series of pictures including
some of animals being rescued.
(Heart breaking warning.)
Please join us in praying for the families
affected by the horrible tornado yesterday
in Moore, Ok. This is about 112 miles southwest
of us here in Tulsa, OK. We are all ok. I
can't answer everyone individually but please
know that we do appreciate your concern and
prayers for our state during this sad and
difficult time. Bonnie and I are on standby
to go and help if we are needed by the Animal
Welfare Division of Oklahoma City. We are
in contact with the Director, who has had
crews on sight from the beginning, searching
for lost pets. Please pray for all involved.
This is beyond devastating. The good news
is that as of now, the death toll has been lowered from 51 down
to 24 which in itself
is a miracle.

We are all devastated at effects of the tornado
that came to Oklahoma, yesterday.
Please pray. We are expecting more of the
same for this afternoon and for tomorrow
afternoon. We are in an odd pattern of deadly
tornadic activity in the afternoons.
Sara Pace, our Team Leader to IL., IN., IA.,
and MN., is at a local shelter near Chicago,
right now.
She is asking permission to bring in five
new lives as well as a sixth, who has been
hit by a car.
So far we are up to needing about $5000.00
to vet these six as one has been hit by a
car and has a broken leg.
It will be an average of $600.00 each to
vet these five and that doesn't include surgery
for the one who has been hit by a car.

Meet "Cooper" who was hit by a
car. His tarsal ligament on his lack leg
is ruptured. He is only two years old.
Cooper is scheduled to see the orthopedic
surgeon but even with a discount we are probably
looking at around $2000.00 to save his leg.

This little guy was found as a stray and
the police told us that his owner said they
don't want him back. :( We are coming for him.

This is a young female at the shelter where
Sara is pulling right now.

This is a 6-7 year old male at the shelter
where Sara is pulling now.
This is an adult male at the shelter where
Sara is pulling now. Please forgive the bad picture. It was taken
by a shelter worker with her phone on the
run.
There are one to two more. They didn't send
pics yet. It's like a box of chocolates.
You never know what you are going to get
until you have them in your hand.
We do not have funds
to vet these newest
lives, our newest
Small Paws Bichons.
We need your help.
I'm here for now
and will issue all matching
donation challenges.
If I'm called to OKC I will let you all know
before I go.
We are all just heart broken for Oklahoma.
All My Love, Robin

Dear Auntie Robin,
We would ask for prayers for our sister,
Ellie (a Small Paws rescue) she has a serious
growth on her shoulder
that may be cancer.
Mom is getting help
for
her but some prayers
would sure be nice.
Ellie just had her
12th birthday last
week.
Thank you Auntie
Robin and everyone

Paws Rescue
We had him for the last five years, He is
very obedient normally when we say "stay"
he will stop wherever he is, so some times
we are used to play with him in the yard
for he loves to run around the yard in circles,
during that time we did not put him on the
leash, this particular day he was not on
leash and did not yield to the command when
he saw some dog across the road. It took
off so suddenly the on coming driver did
not have time to stop the car. That is how
it happened.>
 Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
