If you missed our last newsletter, here it
is.
We have the following
new challenges for
the "When it
Rains, It Pours" Bichons
who have been displaced
due to storms or
flooding in the south.
Now there are eight.
Five from near St.
Peter's
MO. One near Conway
Arkansas, and now,
this
pair from near Kansas
City, MO.
11 year old Cuddles, female
9 year old Sparkles, Male
These are two additional boys, a bonded pair
for nine years, who were abandoned at a vet's
office near Kansas City, Mo.
We have a few new matching donations challenges
and I need to issue an apology for missing
one. Thank you Jim!
Jim from Iowa has
this challenge for these
Bichons in need.
Thank you Jim!

Robin
I know it is not
nearly enough, but
it is
what I can afford
to do. Please issue
a $100
challenge for the
"When it Rains
it
Pours Bichons".
If everyone took
a hard
look at what they
could contribute,
we wouldn't
be in this situation.
I don't want you
to
let even one of them
get away. We can
do
better. Please give
until it hurts, because
the thought of even
one suffering Bichon
causes such distress.
Thank you.

And this is from
Kerry Ruffner. Thank you
Kerry!

From: kjoruff@atlanticbb.net
Since Mother's Day
weekend is coming
up,
I would like to donate
$25.00 in memory
of
my mother Carrie
Ruffner who passed
away
in 1989 at the age
of 67. She is still
missed
by all who loved
her. I am hoping
that others
will donate in honor
or memory of their
mothers
too. What a great
way to honor them
and to
help Small Paws.
The check will be
in the
mail tomorrow. Please
use it for the "When
it Rains it Pours"
Bichons.
Kerry Ruffner>
Also, please remember
Bonnie Ferguson's Mom,
Helen, in your prayers.
Helen is 82 and has
been diagnosed with Stage
4 Ovarian Cancer.
Bonnie moved her down here from New Jersey
and Helen underwent a hysterectomy last Friday,
here in Tulsa.
She is still hospitalized.
Thanks so much
for your prayers.
Ok, we are picking up the five in MO., tomorrow
and moving them to the great state of Illinois.
Many thanks to Team
Leaders Deb Fahey for
MO., and Sara Pace
for IN. and IL.
All My Love, Robin
I think that's all
for now.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
