The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
~Psalm 34:18~

Leila Cochran's precious Bichon, "Buddy"
was hit and killed by a car, instantly, in
front of her eyes today. She is devastated.
Dear Small Pawsers,
This is a very sad and difficult e-mail to
write.
Please pray for Small Pawser Leila Cochran.
It's all I can do to type this to you now,
through tears. Oh dear God.
My heart is breaking for one of our Small
Pawsers who witnessed what many of us have
said is our greatest fear, today.
I'll be calling Leila in a few minutes as
soon as I can get myself together here. Her
email address is leilarose68@yahoo.com if
you want to send a note of sympathy to her.
Leila is a member of the Lakewood Church
in Houston where Joel Osteen preaches. I'm
attempting to get hold of someone at the
church to let them know that she is in need
now of prayer and grief support this evening.

Robin, I'm writing to you at the request
of Leila Cochran of Houston, Texas.
Tonight her Bichon Buddy was struck by a
car and killed instantly when he freed himself
from his collar and leash, and right in front
of Leila. Words can't describe the devastation
Leila is now going through. It's bad enough
to hear about it; even worse to witness it.
Buddy and Suzie lived with me in Indiana
until they moved back to Houston. These were
my animals (children) too, and I still go
to Houston regularly to visit them. Leila
has spoken very highly of you and your organization.
She has asked me to ask you for your prayers
and support to help her get through this
hard time. It hurts. Bad. Thank you for being
there.
Sincerely, Bill Howard>
(Please remember. Put harnesses on your Bichons
if there is anyway possible that a collar
can pop or slip off.)
And this prayer request came in from Small
Pawser and personal friend, Lynn Bates, from
here in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We had a tragedy here on Friday night. It's
been on the national news.
A drunk driver plowed into a crowd of people
who were helping a motorcyclist who had gone
down in the street, on Memorial Drive.
The motorcyclist and four people assisting
her were killed.
The drunk driver turned herself into police
on Saturday.

Robin -
Please add my friend & co-worker Krissi
to the prayer request. She is going through
something horrible right now.
Since you live around Tulsa, you probably
have heard about the accident Friday night.
A woman was leaving a Tulsa nightclub on
her motorcycle around 11pm, when she fell
from her cycle and injured her head. 4 patrons
of the bar were good samaritans and ran to
help her, only to be hit by a speeding pickup
truck. All 5 were killed.
Krissi's fiance Casey Jones was one of those
good samaritans. He had just sent a text
message to Krissi that he was on his way
home. He was only 29. Also, one of our Broken
Arrow teachers, De Anna, was killed. She
was a 4th grade teacher.
Please keep Krissi and the families of all
5 of the victims in your prayers. This is
just unbelievable, and it really breaks my
heart.
Thanks so much,Lynne Bates (SPR Transporter
& Foster Failure!)>
Thank you for remembering those who are hurting
and in unimaginable pain, tonight, in your
prayers. Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
Godspeed Humphrey Sisco. Godspeed.
