NBC Nightly News with Brian Milliams contacted Small Paws Rescue about AOL and Yahoo wanting to charge businesses to send e-mail, and we were fortunate enough to be included in a national news report on NBC!
Our new friend, Emmy Award winning NBC correspondent George Lewis
made sure that Small Paws will NOT be charged to send e-mail to it's members by AOL or Yahoo!

Thank you for your note. You can learn more about Small Paws through their website: http://www.smallpawsrescue.org. AOL and Yahoo say they will continue to process the organization's e-mail, without charge--that there should be no problems for Small Paws. We'll follow up to make sure that's true.

Cameraman Mark Whaley came to our home in
Tulsa, Oklahoma today to do the shoot.
Our living room quickly turned into a live television studio. We did a remote interview with NBC correspondent George Lewis. who was just wonderful. After the interview was over, George said, "Tell me more about this Small Paws Rescue...and these puppy mills...how did you choose Bichons?"
He shouldn't have asked. HAHA!
Bonnie Ferguson, our Executive Assistant was here and we both got the impression...after speaking with George, that they might be interested in another story here! Cross your paws that we are right!
Mark and our Spunkey the Monkey Pressnall
Mark seemed to be taken with these little white things called Bichons...he was amazed that they do what we tell them too on command! (ETC...go get a toy out of the toy box...throw the ball to Mark, Chipper...jump on the ottaman and smile, Monkey Man...)
