Numbers 29, 30 and 31

We got word of a litter of four, (there were
five, one already died) who had heart murmurs,
in a commercial kennel in Mo.
These will be our 29, 30 and 31st Heart Murmur patients.
We have done this life saving surgery 28
times before.
The Heart Murmur Reunion Page
We have named the quads! We have named them
after...the doctors who will save their lives.
Texas A&M has three cardiologist now.
They are....
Dr. Sonya G. Gordon, Dr. Matt W. Miller,
and Dr. Ashley B. Saunders.
The female puppy is named "Ashley"...the
males are named..."Matt", "Gordon",
and "Miller". We hope the doctors
will be honored with our choice of names
for the quads!
Here are the first pics from yesterday. We
brought them all back to Tulsa, strapped
little harnesses on them, along with little
ID tags with their names and phone numbers
on them. We made these ID tags at Petsmart,
yesterday.
These babies all look sick. They look sick
in their eyes. They are lethargic and just
don't feel one bit good.

The quads and their Mom and Dad, (yes, you
have to know we went after getting those
parents with all we had! We had to purchase
them...but we "gots em now" and
there will be no more babies for them!) arrive
in Tulsa, from Mo.
One of the little males. (Blue is for boys)

OKC Volunteers, Lindsay Sharp, and Perry
Gilfillan, help us to get the babies ready
to drive to Dallas.

At our Tulsa vet's office, this is our little
swimmer guy, Matt. See how he can't put his
back legs up behind him? Lindsey says he
walks like a baby seal...
Lindsey holds the quad's Daddy. We named
him "Saunders"...

Lindsey hold the quad's Moma. We named her
"Sonya."
The Quads are all packed up and ready to
roll to their first hand off point, Dallas,
Texas.
We have done this life saving surgery 28
times before at Texas A&M University.
It costs us roughly $2000.00 each time.
The Heart Murmur Reunion Bichons
Now we have looked into their eyes. I know
this is a lot to ask...for funds to save
of all four of them. I figure they must have
been meant to come to Small Paws...or as
Shirley Lyall says, they would've been born
as Beagles.
They are depending on us now. I don't know
what else to do but to come to you and tell
you how it is going with their fund raising.
We have raised about $3800.00 so far for
the heart murmur babies.
MOST of that has been raised in $25.00 and
$10.00 donations. That's just to tell you
how many Small Pawsers have been participating,
and we love you each one!
Time is running out. We have less than
48
hours to go. If you can help them,
now is
the time. Their time is running out,
judging
by the way they acted yesterday. They
are
sick and lethargic. This can't wait
until
we have time to raise more funds. One
of
the original five in this litter has
already
died from this. We just can't wait.
Update! November 13, 2005
One of the babies died on the way to
Texas
A&M. We lost little GORDON.
These are pics of the remaining trio...little
Matt, Miller and baby Ashley. Their surgeries
were 100% successful!

surgeries!
When we lost MIKEY in New York, after attempting the coil technique there,
I promised myself that with all other
heart
murmur Bichons, I would just fly them
down
to Texas A&M where we have had
success
after success.
(Two of our Heart Murmur Babies were
taken
to Texas A&M and were not candidates
for the surgery. They were Chevy and June.)
Can you turn on your heart light once more
for little Buttons? Her surgery will run
right at $2000.00 in order to save her life.

card.

Turn on Your Heartlight
By Neil Diamond
Come back again
I want you to stay next time
Cause sometimes the world ain't kind
When people get lost like you and me
I just made a friend
A friend is someone you need
But now that he has to go away
I still feel the words that he might
say
Turn on your heartlight
Let it shine wherever you go
Let it make a happy glow
For all the world to see
Turn on your heartlight
In the middle of a young boy's dream
Don't wake up too soon
Gonna take a ride across the moon
You and me
He's lookin' for a home
Cause everyone needs a place
A home's the most excellent place of
all
And I'll be right here if you should
call
me
Turn on your heartlight
Let it shine wherever you go
Let it make a happy glow
For all the world to see
Turn on your heartlight
In the middle of a young boy's dream
Don't wake up too soon
Gonna take a ride across the moon
You and me
Turn on your heartlight now
