Bon Jovi was born in a Missouri puppy mill
on November 10, 2006. After being rescued,
he was diagnosed by the cardiologists at
Texas A&M University with “severe pulmonic
stenosis with a severely hypoplastic annulus.”
This means that Bon Jovi’s heart is so defective
that there is no surgery (or treatment of
any other kind) that can repair it.
The cardiologists have prescribed a beta
blocker for Bon Jovi that they hope will
help to stabilize his condition; he will
most likely require this medication for the
rest of his life. There is no way of knowing
how long Bon Jovi will live, nor can we predict
how his life will end. He could die a very
sudden death, or he could have a stroke or
fainting episodes, or he could live for many
years.
Right now, however, Bon Jovi is living life
to the fullest! He is a very happy, playful,
mischievous, and loving puppy. He tires somewhat
easily because of his heart condition, but
after a quick nap he’s ready to burn some
more energy. He sleeps in bed with his foster
parents and he stays in a large crate when
left alone. He loves giving kisses to people,
and he washes his foster sister’s face. He
does not like being alone and he will cry
and bark if he can’t be with you in the same
room.
Bon Jovi needs a very special home with people
who are willing to give him their whole heart,
even if it is to be only for a short while.
He will return every bit of love you give
him many times over.

Folks, when Vickie Nixon,. our Michigan and
Wisconsin Team Leader, gets back, is she
going to have a life changing story for you.
As you know we have a missing puppy mill
rescue down in West Rotund, Florida. "Annie"
got away while on a walk, still wearing her
collar with tags, halter and leash.
Yesterday neighbors watched helplessly while
an alligator was hissing at our baby girl.
She is out running around a golf course,
and the surrounding neighborhood.
Vickie met a woman yesterday who has helped
her in this search. "Lynn" is out
again, searching today. Annie has been sited
five times just this morning. Late last night
around 11, Vickie had her cornered behind
a home. A man and his dog were on one side
and Vickie was on the other.
This little girl is so scared that she ran
right past the man and his dog. (Annie, not
Vickie) She is still on the run this morning.
Just wait until Vickie tells you about running
into her old high school science teacher,
who was out walking on the street, and how
she has enlisted him to help in the search,
as well.
Wait until she tells you how one of the new
helpers told her that she is so unhappy with
her life, and that Vicki has been a bright
spot. This helper has told Vickie that she
doesn't believe there is a God. She asked
Vickie what would give her such passion to
make her fly down from Michigan to try to
find a lost dog that doesn't even belong
to her.
Vickie told her that God is the reason she
is with Small Paws and why she was sent down
to Florida to help in this search.
Yesterday, Vickie was running into dangers
at every turn. She saw two alligators 4-5
feet long in her path while she was on the
gold course. There are dried palm tree leaves
that could slice up human skin. And, there
are snakes in the brush areas.
Vickie said she is singing as she goes, "On
Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground
is sinking sand. All other ground is sinking
sand."
Now you just imagine how this is affecting
someone who has given up hope in life and
in believing there is a God.
Folks, this is much bigger than one lost
Bichon. I believe that this is God's plan
for something bigger than we can know at
this point.
Please continue to pray for this precious
lady whom I love with all of my heart. I
know she is exhausted. Vicki and Annie are
is being protected by His angels, whom he
has given charge over them both. I believe
this with all of my heart.
This is the article that appeared on the
front page of the local newspaper this morning
about Annie being lost. (In the actual newspaper there is a picture
of Annie's face. The online version is not
showing the picture.)

Bichon Frise disappears in Rotonda West
ROTONDA -- Annie's been missing for days.
A search team has assembled to find young
Annie, who's already led a less-than-sheltered
life.
Annie, 4, had just found a new home. This
one was supposed to be permanent.
Anita Anne, "Annie," had been living
a puppy-mill sort of life, according to Small
Paws Rescue. The bichon Frise spent much
of her life in a wire crate until October
2005, when the rescue agency took Annie into
their care and eventually into foster care.
They had found a permanent home for Annie
in Rotonda West. Annie disappeared though
while walking with her new caregiver on Wednesday.
Hope emerged Monday morning.
Lynn Anderson saw Annie in her backyard near
Rotonda Golf and Country Club's Long Marsh
Course.
She and her cockapoo, Gidget, joined the
search party.
"She's been spotted by five people,"
said Vicki LaVerdiere Nixon, the Michigan
and Wisconsin Team Leader for Small Paws
Rescue.
The rescue agency spent Monday afternoon
making posters with Annie's photograph.
Annie is scared of humans, so the rescue
agency advises against chasing her.
She was last seen wearing a light pink harness,
purple collar and purple leash. She's all
white and weighs about 20 pounds. A reward
of about $500 is being offered.
Anyone with information is asked to call
918-638-5854 or 810-444-4478 immediately.

Hi Robin I just wanted to ask if you would
please post in the next newsletter.
Yesterday I went for my MRI guided biopsy
because they saw some "enhancement"
in my left breast which I had undergone surgery
for this before. I asked the prayer warriors
to please say a prayer for me. Well I had
the MRI done, signed the papers for the biopsy,
and THERE WAS NO MASS ON THE MRI TO BIOPSY!
I am considered high risk for breast cancer
so I thought I got through it once with negative
results but this time I knew there was something
there. God listens. No matter who you are,
what religion you are, God listens. I prayed
to Him not to let me have cancer. I didn't
want to leave Bailey my Bichon and my wonderful
kids. I prayed to Him not to let me have
to undergo this terrible disease. He listened.
Thank you all for your words of support and
your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of
my heart.
