Monday Morning February 26, 2007
Dear Small Pawsers,
This is an emergency stop drop and pray prayer
request of the Small Paws Rescue International
Prayer Network.
We have an urgent lost Bichon situation happening
right now down in Rotunda West, Florida.
We placed a puppy mill Bichon with an older
lady there, last week. The second day that
Annie she was in her new home, she bolted,
while out on a walk.
When this happened, the adopter realized
that she really is not able to physically
handle this baby, or assist in the search,
so she has signed her back over to Small
Paws and we have begun the search with all
guns blazing.
We have signs up everywhere offering a $500.00
reward and we have contacted Petfinder's
Alert, the folks with the computer that calls
all of the phone numbers in the area and
tells them of the lost dog and the reward
and the contact info.
We flew Vicki Nixon, our Team Leader to the
state of Michigan, down there last night
to assist in the search and do interviews
with the local media. "Annie's"
foster Mama, Jessica Sparks lives in Michigan
and they want to adopt Annie, as soon as
we can find her and Vicki brings her back
home.
Ok. I can do this. God have mercy. The local
Humane Society from down there just called
us. Annie has been sighted on the Long Meadow
Golf Course in Rotunda West and an alligator
in a pond was coming up on the ground and
hissing at her.
Vicki is on the way to the site now. I made
her swear on the Bible not to get in between
the dog and the alligator. I called animal
control and Vickie called the sheriff. They
are both racing to the scene to keep that
gator away from our baby girl, who is still
sporting her pink collar, halter, tags and
leash.
I've spoken with two alligator pros who are
within seconds of the scene. They asked me
how long the gator was and I told them that
all I know is that our volunteer is crying
and said the gator was hissing at our baby.
I told them I am in Tulsa and no nothing
about Gators except to stay away from them.
We need your prayers for safety for Vicki
and for our lost Bichon, Annie.
Dear Lord God. Please, in the name of the
Father, please control that alligator of
Your's until we can get Vickie and Annie
to safety. In Jesus's Name, Amen.
As soon as we have concrete word that they
are both safe I will let you all know. Good
Lord. I think I have heard everything now.
One of our Bichons and the neighbors trying
to rescue her are being hissed at by an alligator
in the swamps of Florida. All My Love, Robin
