May 22, 2004 The First Annual Small Paws Rescue Deep South Picnic Hosted by Cindy Leigh! The picnic was held in "The Grove" a shady spot with lots of mature trees, right there on the campus of Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi! It was a breezy, sunny day, perfect for a picnic! ![]() Tn. volunteer, Andy Foster, looks over the silent auction items sold to benefit Small Paws. The Deep South Picnic raised over $800.00 for Small Paws Rescue! ![]() Enjoying a beautiful day and beautiful company! ![]() Alabama Team Leader Kathy Moore, and her pal from work, Beth, enjoy a moment in the shade! Beth worked as hard as anyone at this picnic and she doesn't even have a Bichon!!:) ![]() Getting ready for the Musical Chairs game...played by the Bichons! Now THAT was funny!! ![]() Tennessee volunteer Jan Weatherred from Memphis, holds her 15 1/2 year old Bichon, Max! ![]() 15 year old Max is looking good! ![]() Bichon Dad, Larry, had fun too! ![]() Seated next to me is one of our newest Small Pawsers who came because she saw an article in the paper! He barely escaped the big E!
