Wednesday Morning August 23, 2006

If you would enjoy forwarding our Small Paws newsletters to friends or family, please feel free to do so!

Dear Small Pawsers,

You'll be getting a real Small Paws newsletter later on this morning!

But first, as you know, we have begun using a company to get our e-mails through to all servers.

Constant Contact

Some of you have been receiving blank messages, newsletters with no body to them. (Sounds like a bad scary movie, huh? HA! )

Some of you are able to see the subject line, but when you open the newsletter up, you are only seeing information about Constant Contact and not about little white doggies.

That's the reason for this email!

Others of you aren't getting our newsletters at all now, when you were getting them before.

If you know friends who aren't getting the newsletters at all now, please tell them to check their Spam filters settings. This information is also posted on our home page.

Small Paws Rescue Home Page

To adjust your Spam filters, for AOL, they would need to go to MAIL, then scroll down to MAIL CONTROLS, then they will see a SPAM filter scale.

I have to turn my all the way OFF in order to receive our newsletters.

Instead, I use the "Words and Phrases" button to control Spam.

I typed in the words I don't want to receive in my email. You know the ones...certain male prescriptions, male body parts, Nigeria, Madam, those kinds of words.

For those unable to see the body of the messages, I'm going to begin sending the newsletters out in both HTML and TEXT forms. (Let's see if this blond woman from Oklahoma can follow the technical directions for dummies, provided for us to do this. I have doubts, but my husband Dale seems to think I can pull this off. We shall see.)

Your browser will decide which version one you will receive, either HTML or the TEXT version.

If all else fails, go sign up for a free YAHOO account, and I know we are getting through to Yahoo because Habeas just had a show down with them over our e-mails, and Habeas won.:)

Ok, one, two, three, rokey dokey, let's see if this works. Signed, Your Fearless Leader (who may be technically challenged, but can usually follow simple directions.)

P.S. These are the newsletters from August that you may have missed so far.
