Mara, age 4 and Lilly, age 6, are VERY bonded.
As you can see, they are really clinging
to each other. This rescue just broke my heart.
We were notified by a realtor in Las Vegas,
Nevada, that two young female Bichons had
been abandoned by their owner. The realtor had them groomed, but their coats were so
matted that they had to be shaved.
The realtor was also going over to feed,
water and let them outside as much as possible
until arrangements were made to pick them
up.
Here they are in the home of our Nevada Team
Leader, Cheryl Wahl, who took them into emergency
foster care. I see the sadness and hurt in
their eyes.
They look like they are wondering why they
were abandoned.. Why did they lose their
Mom and their home? What did they do wrong?
Lilly has two "cherry eyes" which
must be surgically repaired.
What is Cherry Eye?
Though it may look like more of a cosmetic
condition than a medical one, the prolapsed
lacrimal (tear) gland can become painful,
irritated and inflamed and is at risk for
dry eye, which is a life long condition and
it's painful and expensive. We want to avoid
that.
These are the estimates for vetting for Mara
and Lilly. We are their only home, now. We
are all they have, but each other.
The estimate for
Lilly, including
her cherry
eye repair is for
$864.37.
The estimate for
Mara's vetting is for $574.37.
The total for the two comes to $1,438.74
We were already below zero after writing
our checks to pay bills this week.
And then these two darling little girls came
in.

Can I place a hold? His stray hold is up

And then, Sara told us that this absolutely
precious little male Bichon Mix needs to
be rescued by September 14, which is in two
days, from the CACC shelter in Chicago.
They are having to
euthanize due to a lack
of space.
We can NOT let this
baby go down.
He just looks like a "Beau" to
me.
Yet, I can't approve
his hold until we have
funds to vet him.
It's going to be from $1200-1500.00
for us to be able
to save him.
Can you help us to
save Winston's life
and
to give Lilly and
Mara a home? All
vetted.
No more fear of abandonment,
or pain?
All in all we need $2,938.37.
Just for these three.
Help is needed. I'm
here and will issue
all
matching donation
challenges. All My
Love,
Robin
