Bichons For Adoption By Nationwide Click Here

Wednesday Afternoon October 3, 2018

Ok, We have her. One of our donors is paying for her vetting. She is safe!

But we have two others, Flynn and Wallaby, who also need vetting for $1500.00 each, as they are both sick with an upper respiratory thing, on top of their other vetting, so they both have to be quarantined longer. We also have Bichons who need vetting in the others we have in South Texas, North Texas, Indiana, and Florida.

We also have costs for our Hospice Bichons, unplaceable dogs due to things like Cushings, diabetes, blindness, etc, for normal things like teeth cleaning, vaccinations, and grooming. It costs $60.00 in Sarasota FL. for a grooming.

We really don't have enough to operate this week. I can't authorize vetting until we get some more funds in.

We have two matching donation challenges!

First, we had a phone in challenge from Joan and Pat Borders at jpborders@aol.com for $1000.00.

Is anyone blessed enough to be able to match this? If so this will give us two days of operating funds! Thank you for issuing this challenge, Joan and Pat!

Next, from the sunshine state of Florida, Deborah Berger and her celebrity Bichon, Boris Berger, at normetski@aol.com, want to issue a matching challenge for $100.00.

Is there anyone who can match them?

I'm here and will issue any other matching challenges.

I'm so thankful Roxy is safe!

Gem of the Day: No time for a gem. We have a little female Bichon needing to come in from a shelter ASAP. After paying our vet bills this week, we were left with only $243.61 left in our account. That is being spent on vet bills as I type. This 3 year old female needs to come in from the CACC shelter in Chicago. Please read below from Sara Rhodes. We are scrambling to save this life. URGENT.

3 Year Old "Roxy" was left at the shelter because she didn't like the family cat. Owner Surrenders to shelters are the first to go down as they know no one is looking for them and there is no space!

See Vet Bills Paid by Small Paws Rescue for the first two days of October, 2018 coming to $5876.90 which is an average of $2,936.45 per day.

From: Sara Rhoades (Pace) at pacess4@att.net.

Hi Robin,

Sorry I am getting this out so late but I just worked 6, 12 hour shifts in a row!

There is a Female Owner Surrender who was left at the shelter because she didn't like the cat. She is only 3 years old!! Her name is Roxy! She is still at the shelter and needs rescue now!!
Can we get her??

We already got two more who are at our vet's office currently and BOTH are coughing, so that means extra quarantine time and costs.

This is "Flynn", estimated at around 4 years old. He was a stray unclaimed.

This is little "Wallaby", estimated around 4-5. He was also an unclaimed stray. He is also coughing so will have additional quarantine time!

So there are three pups needing us! Three need funding of $1200-1500 each. Roxy needs to get out of the shelter alive!

I also need foster homes for them!!

So that's where we are. We can't rescue them if we can't pay their vet bills. We need to raise $4500.00. $1200.00 is needed immediately to save Roxy! Help is needed now.

We have one matching challenge already for $250.00 from Jeanne Montross in FL. at chipper5555555@gmail.com.

Is there anyone who can match Jeanne?

Robin,
Thought maybe we should get a head start on the next ones falling from the sky, so here is a $250 matching challenge from Missy and Izzie who are moving back to FL because they can't stand the winters. Missy is so happy to be seeing her boyfriend again and Izzie is so happy she is going to be warm again. They said it was time for another challenge.

All the best love,
Jeanne and Chipper Montross>

I'm here and will issue all matching challenges.

We have got to save this little girl.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006

When I first saw this beautiful picture of Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought it was truly the epitome of what we do, and why we do it. I wanted to use this black and white picture of Humphrey, taken only days before his death due to congestive heart failure, to let those who may be new to Small Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known love. He would have died in a kill shelter, sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
