Miles is home and doing just fine! They think
he had a gastro intestinal thing but he is
on the mend! Thanks to all who helped him!
We are going to ask Star's foster mom to
go ahead and schedule his knee surgery as
well.
We are still working on being able to do
Ollie's ear surgery! If anyone can help him,
please let us know! His surgery to repair
his inner ears will run about $1200.00.
Ok, we have news!
Yesterday I got a phone call from one of
the producers of "Fox and Friends",
the morning show on the Fox Cable News Network.
They have invited us to be on Fox and Friends with two of our rescued Bichons on Friday
morning at 7:50 A.M. Eastern time. "Teases"
will take place between the 7 and 8 AM hour,
Eastern time.
There wasn't much notice, but thanks to Small
Pawser Erin Martin,
(ERINAMARTIN@YAHOO.COM) in Ohio, we have
an airline ticket purchased with her donated
United mileage. Erin said she never uses
it and was happy she could donate it for
this! I'll be flying into Newark, NJ. later
this afternoon. Thank you Erin!
And I'll be staying in the guest room of
Small Pawsers Bill and Randi , who live in
New Jersey. Thank you Bill and Randi! (WAdam43@aol.com)
We are going to have SPR Cassie and Snoop,
foster dogs of Small Pawser Joe Ceniccola,
who will be coming to the show. These are
dogs that are 11 and 12, so we hope to show
people that adopting an older Bichon is a
nice thing to do!
Jerilyn Nucci will
be bringing them to the
studio via limo which
is being donated to
us.
I'll fly home on
Friday afternoon, so I can
be back in time for
the Tulsa Christmas Parade.
We are marching in
this with our Bichons,
in Tulsa!
If you would like to join us or just to come
downtown on Dec. 12 at 5:00 P.M. for the
"Bichon Tail-gate" party, just
let me know!
So that's the news!
Also, Stephanie Hunter wants to remind you
that if you would
like for Small Paws to
send a card to a
friend or relative, telling
them that you made
a donation in their name
for the Holidays,
you can do that all the
way up to December
18th!
Just let Stephanie
know by e-mailing her
at SPRfluff@aol.com
Ok! Please pray some future Bichon foster
parents are watching! I'm off to the Big
Apple! All My Love, Robin

Now is the time to book your spot(s) for
the holiday gift
wrapping at Barnes
&
Noble Bookstores.
They have everything
you
need already set
up so it is very
easy to
do. They let you
bring literature
about SPR
and have a donation
jar. We have done
it
in San Antonio the
last two years and
got
about $150 -$200
in donations (one
year we
also did it at the
Borders). It is a
lot
of fun and a great
way to let the public
know about SPR. This
is something that
even
one person can do,
but the more the
merrier.
It is only for a
few hours. If anybody
has
any questions, let
me know.

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey",
I thought it was
truly the epitome
of what we do, and
why
we do it. I wanted
to use this black
and
white picture of
Humphrey, taken only
days
before his death
due to congestive
heart
failure, to let those
who may be new to
Small
Paws, know what we
do and why we do
it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey
would have never
known
love. He would have
died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because
of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived,
he loved, and he
smiled.
