Bijoux is a six year old female Bichon who was brought into a shelter near Chicago as an owner surrender.
This is a picture of her as she was being driven out of there.

I do not understand why a tail would have been amputated, with no pain meds given,
in a shelter where the dog was on the list to be euthanized.
It looks to be red, swollen to twice it's size, and infected.
We may have to go back in and repair some of this.
This is heartbreaking to me.
