"Hello Robin,
It's me again. There is another male Bichon
here at Animal Control in XXX, GA. I am attaching
some pics. He is about 3-4 years old, super
sweet and good with other dogs. He is completely
matted and has obvious skin infections underneath
of the matting:-((

We have some matching challenges for our
emergencies, and we have another emergency.
Meet Georgie.

Georgie's at an animal control of a small
town in GA. He's only 3-4 and would be highly
adoptable after we remove those mats and
treat his skin infection.

Georgie's time is up and if we are to save
him, we need to do it today.
Georgie's skin is infected underneath this
severe matting.
Our first matching challenge comes from our
Florida Team Leader, Susan Garrison at scgmiata1@comcast.net. .
Susan had to put her 16 year old Bichon,
Bart, to sleep a couple of days ago, and
she is hurting.
She's issuing a matching
donation challenge
for $2000.00.
She said it's because Bart was her second
Bichon, he gave her 1000 kisses, and he gave
her 1000 tears.
Thank you Susan, for issuing this touching
and generous challenge and I'm hoping that
there is someone who is able to match it,
in your little Bart's Memory.

From: scgmiata1@comcast.net
I would like to make the following challenge
in Bart's memory for $2000.00.
Bart gave me so much
love and I know he
would
want me to help in
this time of need.
Robin, my heart is
with you during this time
of need. Please issue
this challenge.

Next, from Barbe Von Netzer, who was my friend
long before Small Paws was born, and knows
me about as well as a person can know another
person, has issued this challenge for up
to $200.00 in any amounts. Thank you Barbe
for loving SPR and for loving me.

Rob,
My dogs mean the
world to me, as do
you.
This breaks my heart
to read the stress
that
you and the rest
of the SPR's have
been under
trying to pay for
these vet bills.
I am asking
for a matching challenge,
I don't care if
it comes in $20 increments,
for all of us
out here who have
been so blessed with
our
pups because of the
work of you and hundreds
all around the country,
I ask you who are
reading this to pony
up and please open
your
hearts and wallets
and help at this
time,
so my challenge is
$200.00. Make it
happen
please, thanks and
love, Barbe von Netzer>

Robin, sorry I didn't get to you sooner This
picture says it all regardless of the breed..I
will match up to $220.00, so we could raise
$440.00.
Please, come through,
if Robin is asking,
we need to be there
for her and all the
fluffs
in need, We need
to remember that
before
we adopted the fluffs
that we love and
cherish,
someone had to come
forward and donate,
so
could have the joy
of having these fluffs
in our lives. So
please, dig a little
deeper.
Thank you all, Deborah
and Boris Berger>
And from our friend in Southern California,
Sue Hodges, we have this matching challenge

Thanks for the love
and care you give
the
world. It is reflected
in the eyes of all
those little furry
faces who know it
is due
to you and Small
Paws Rescue that
their today
is filled with love

Ok, breathe.Visualize more money than bichons.

I will issue a challenge from Nordy Michael
and Macy Rose of New Bedford to all owners
of bonded pairs. Being a big brother is a
big responsibility and teaching your lil
sis how to make good choices is a never ending
job. You have to protect her, guard the perimeter
of the yard and bark relentlessly if someone
comes within a hundred feet or so of our
house. You have to share your pillow, time
with mom and dad, and worst of all biscuits.
But really, sis is always there; to snuggle
with on the couch, to take adventures with
in the yard and to blame when the garbage
can is knocked down while mom is out. Having
each other is the best part of life and so
we offer a challenge of 50 dollars to those
fellow b's who feel the same as we do!
I wish I could help in some "grander"
fashion. I wish I could give Small Paws something
of significance that would help hundreds
of puppies.
I don't know what
or how and so this
is my
way, a small drop
in the endless bucket.
Again, every day
the world is a brighter,
nicer and warmer
because of you!
Audrey from New Bedford,
MA :)<
And we have this challenge. (Please remember,
I never want to run you short so that you
can't take care of you and your own Bichons.)

My heart breaks for
every single animal
who
is suffering emotionally
or physically. My
family is struggling
financially as well
and we do what we
can to keep groceries
in
the house. I have
this belief, that
no one
else believes, when
you are at your very
lowest, and you have
nothing left, GIVE
ANYWAY,
it WILL come back
to you, ten fold!
And when
you give from your
heart because you
really
care, you will be
rewarded.. I know
this
is true, its happened
to me! I am donating
$100.00 which is
more than I can afford,
with my taxes being
due next week, but
I
know I will be rewarded!
I hope my reward
is that everyone
reads this email
and donates
and the next email
you send out will
say
you were able to
throw that stupid
calculator
away! >
And we have this challenge for $10.00 from
Leslie and David. Thank you both so much.

money has been tight for us, but we would
like to issue a $10.00 challenge. If everyone
chips in we can make a big difference!

And lastly from Joe,
we have this challenge.

I will increase my monthly pledge to $10.00.
I know that isn't much, but if everyone could
add a little extra each month it would add
up.
Thanks for all you
do. Joe
Lastly, this is an update on Sparkle, who
was hit by a car while in foster care with
Small Paws Rescue in Florida.

Sparkle is one of
our current foster
dogs.
She was hit by a
car in the head,
when she
darted out the door
of her foster home,
when
an adult son came
to visit. She is at the Oceanview Veterinary Hospital in Jacksonville
Florida and her estimate is for right at
$1500.00. See below.
She had one surgery yesterday to repair damage
to her mouth and is looking at another one
for her eye.
Thanks to those of you who love and support
what we do here at Small Paws Rescue.
We are trying to save the lives of Bichons,
who in turn will be a blessing to a human
being for many years to come.
I truly believe that
is His plan. All
My
Love, Robin

Humphrey Sisco
Dec 26, 1993~ Aug 30, 2006
When I first saw this beautiful picture of
Cheri Sisco's "Humphrey", I thought
it was truly the epitome of what we do, and
why we do it. I wanted to use this black
and white picture of Humphrey, taken only
days before his death due to congestive heart
failure, to let those who may be new to Small
Paws, know what we do and why we do it. Without
Small Paws, Humphrey would have never known
love. He would have died in a kill shelter,
sick and alone. Because of Small Paws, and
Cheri Sisco, he lived, he loved, and he smiled.
